Principal's Message
Welcome to the 25-26 school year

Greetings Turk Families,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year at Sultan High School (SHS)! I’m thrilled to welcome you and your student to our Turk community and look forward to an exciting year ahead.
The past few years have brought many challenges, and I am deeply grateful for the flexibility, compassion, and resilience shown by our students, families, and staff. Thanks to our collective efforts, SHS experienced meaningful growth last year, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished together.
This year, SHS will transition to a four-period schedule that includes an intervention period four days a week. Our goal is to promote deeper learning and reduce the daily class load, allowing students to focus more fully on their subjects. We believe this model will foster stronger relationships and better prepare students for their future pathways.
Looking ahead, I’m confident this will be a fantastic year. Our dedicated staff is committed to the success of every student. At SHS, we aim to provide a high-quality education in an environment that supports personal growth and academic achievement. With student-centered strategies at the core of our instruction, we empower students to take ownership of their learning and reach their full potential.
Preparing students for life after graduation means more than earning a diploma—it means ensuring they are equipped with the skills and confidence to succeed in college, a career, or the military. Our goal is for every student to graduate from SHS with a clear and confident plan for the future.
Our school vision—Be Think Live BLUE (Belonging, Leadership, Uniting, and Excelling)—guides all that we do. We encourage students to be their best selves and take pride in their achievements. Students, your engagement is key to a successful year. Take full advantage of the opportunities at SHS and make your high school experience both meaningful and memorable.
We also believe that strong family engagement is essential to student success. We encourage all parents and guardians to stay involved and actively support their student’s education. One of the most powerful ways to help is by promoting consistent school attendance. Please ensure your student arrives on time each day, and whenever possible, schedule vacations during school breaks.
Communication is also vital. We encourage you to stay in touch with your student’s teachers and support their learning at home. To help maintain a focused academic environment, SHS will continue to enforce the no telecommunications policy adopted by the school board last year. We kindly ask that you refrain from calling or texting your student during school hours.
I’m excited to witness the academic, social, and personal growth our students will achieve this year. Thank you for being a vital part of the SHS learning community—it’s going to be a great year!
Please stay connected with us through our website, our family communication platform ParentSquare, and our social media channels on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram for updates throughout the year.
