Week 15 and 16 Announcements!

A BIG congratulations to our 4 students who competed at All Region this year!! Everyone did so well and we had 2 earn a placement in one of the bands!

It takes a lot of work to prepare and audition for All Region each year and we are so incredibly proud of all 4 of these individuals! Congratulations!

Parents, we need YOUR help! Students should already be practicing 5-6 days per week.

• To help encourage them, we have created a practice challenge that students should use to track their practice progress. For every 10 minutes of playing they may mark off a square. When this is complete, students should have it signed and turn it into their director as their official entry. (One entry per student).
• All entries are due by December 15th and the winner of a $50 Amazon gift card will be chosen.
• HAPPY PRACTICING!

Spring cleaning....in November!

November 9-22nd (Happening NOW!)

• Last spring we held a Recycle 2 Support spirit event and want to do it again this Fall!
• If you have any outgrown clothes, items to get rid of or things to donate please consider donating it to Recycle 2 Support donation event. For every pound of items, Staley band receives 20 cents.
• This may not seem like a lot but last spring we raised $1200! Every ounce counts!
• You can either take it to the location listed below or schedule a pick up at your house.

We are THRILLED to be able to announce we will be able to have a holiday concert! While this will not be a traditional concert with an audience we will be able to showcase all of the hard work from the classes this semester!

Beginners will be recording their concert portion in class as a combined brass and woodwind class. This will happen the week of December 7th.

Advanced Band members will meet at school in a socially-distanced manner on Friday, December 4th! All virtual academy band students are allowed to come on campus, however if you do not feel comfortable with your student coming up to school then they will participate by submitting their portion to canvas.

• For every purchase you make on Amazon, our Staley Middle School Band Parent Association can receive 0.5% of your total! (Woo!)
• This does not cost extra to you but is an additional way for Staley Band BPA to earn money during this time. Due to us not taking band fees right now we need any kind of help since we are still providing to help to families.
