Accessing Student Grades and Attendance in PowerSchool
In addition to the progress reports and report cards that are sent home with your student throughout the year, you are able to view your student's progress in PowerSchool. Instructions are available here.
Financial Aid Resources and FAFSA Completion Information
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be available in December. This FREE application is required if students wish to apply for federal financial aid. While the application itself is not yet available, there are a variety of resources to help families prepare.
PSAT Score Reports
Students in grades 10 and 11 now have access to their PSAT Score Reports through the CollegeBoard website. Students must log in to their CollegeBoard account in order to access the scores. The PSATs are a practice version of the SATs, a test that many colleges and univeresities require as part of the admissions process. The results from the PSATs can help students target their studying, identify areas for improvement, and help them understand the types of questions they will see on the SATs. In addition, students can access FREE test prep resources through Khan Academy.
If students have trouble accessing their scores or would like to discuss their score report at any point, they should contact their school guidance counselor.
Grade 9 Guidance Visits
Over the next two weeks, ninth graders will meet with their school guidance counselor during Advisory. This is an opportunity for students to meet with their counselor in a small group, learn about the supports available to them throughout their four years at WHS, and get introduced to high-school specific information such as transcripts, credits, future plannning, and more. Students are also able to schedule individual appointments with the counselor at any time.
