Voice Lesson Sign Up Voice Lesson Sign Up

Voice Lessons

We are looking for even more voice lessons students to take with a studio instructor this year. If you signed up in the spring or over the summer, you do not need to complete the form again. However, we still need to fill a few spots in A Cappella choir during 3rd period, and a few other classes. If you will be in a cappella choir this year and are not currently in lessons, or are in another class and would like to grow your voice, please fill out THIS FORM. Those who are in Tempo or Chamber Singers are especially encouraged to take lessons. Partial scholarships are available through application.

New Uniforms New Uniforms

Uniform Help

We are so excited to be receiving new choir uniforms for our students this year from our wonderful district! We are in need of a parent or two who may have experience measuring for tuxedos. If you have any experience or would feel comfortable helping us out, please let us know your availability during the school day.

Region Auditions Region Auditions

Region Auditions Coming Soon

If your singer is interested in auditioning for the Texas All-State Choir, the first round is called "Region Phase 1" and is coming up soon on September 26th. He/she is hopefully practicing already, but it is not too late to decide to audition!

There is a cost associated with the Region Phase 1 Audition, and it is $25 due by September 8th, however this audition is completely optional for students who are not enrolled in A Cappella Choir. You can pay the $25 fee online here.

To practice at home, all of the music and tracks are on our website. The password is ahmo.

Please do NOT sign up for the SAT on November 4th if you plan to participate in the All Region Audition Process.

Swashbucklers Information Swashbucklers Information

Swashbuckler Auditions

Swashbuckler auditions are coming up soon, August 24th and 25th during classes!

What is it?

Swashbucklers, or "Swash," is an extracurricular show choir primarily made up of freshmen and sophomores, but also includes some juniors and seniors. This group meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:50-8:50am, and is a great opportunity for any student who wants to be in another performing choir full of talented and dedicated singers!

Fun fact: Almost every single student currently in our varsity specialty choirs was in Swashbucklers at some point in high school.

What does Swash do?

Swashbucklers learn pop music with choreography and occasionally sing vocal jazz as well. Swash performs at every concert, has family bonding dinners, goes on tour in December, performs at our October Dinner Show fundraiser, and performs at Chamber Singers Coffee House as well as TEMPO Show.

How do I audition?

Audition materials will be shared soon via email from Mrs. Mara.

When will I know if I made it?

The list will be posted in the choir room at the beginning of the week of August 28th, either Monday or Tuesday.

What else should I know?

For those who make it in to the group, there is a mandatory parent meeting in the choir room on August 31st at 6:15 PM. This meeting is to help parents learn more about the group and the required performances and time commitment.
