Blue Rapids Elementary
It's all blue skies in Blue Rapids
The school year is off to a GREAT start at Blue Rapids Elementary. The teachers, staff and I were so excited to see the students back in the building. Here are a few announcements from the Blue Rapids building.
- Be sure to have money on your student's lunch account if they are going to eat hot lunch at school.
- Safety of students is our top priority. Pick up and drop off time can be hectic, be sure that students use sidewalks and crosswalks during this busy time.
- Make sure that you sign up for your student's class on Bloomz. This is the teacher's primary way of communicating with parents. Class codes were given at back to school night or open house. If you lost your code, contact your teacher and they can get it to you.
- If your child has to miss school for some reason, be sure to call your student in to the office excused first thing in the morning (785-363-7693).
- This is hot weather season, be sure your student hydrates outside of school and brings a water bottle to school. School appropriate shorts and t-shirts help students stay cool as well.
Thank you parents for your support and all you have done to help make the start of this school year a success. As always if you need anything do not hesitate to contact me.

Welcome Mrs. Schroller!
My name is Malari Schroller. I'm from Washington, KS. I graduated from Fort Hays State University with degrees in music and secondary education in December 2022. I have taught K-12 music at Centralia the past three years. My husband, Liam, and I moved to Blue Rapids in June 2024 with our two dogs, and we are expecting our first child in December. We’d like to remind families to discuss a safe route to school with your students. Whether it is on foot, bike, or a car we want everyone to arrive to and from school safely! For students on foot and bike remember that the safest crossings are at Chestnut & Highway 77 in Blue Rapids and Minnesota & Highway 77 in Waterville.
These crossings are monitored both before and after school.
