Celebration Protocols
1. Behavior Badges begin Monday, Aug 26. School staff will be recognizing classrooms that follow school expectations: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1ekH3CDTID40JM-SgHbUt-6UBLrQB6fvZvcnEPoK-KXM/edit?usp=sharing
2. Magnificent Mountain Lions Certificates- ALL staff can recognize students with a MML certificate. Classroom teachers are asked to recognize at least 2 students every week and send them down to the office Friday mornings. This is important to students and their families. Please help us with seeing the good in ALL students. Certificates can be found in the staff lounge or see front office.
3. Magnificent Milly Certificates- Appreciate a colleague? Take a few minutes to write out a Milly! These mean so much to the recipient!
4. RAVEs- https://www.austinisd.org/hc/aisd-employee-experience/rave The recipient's name gets posted on the school district's website! Recognize your colleagues from across the campus or even district folks who come and help you.
PLCs Start Sept 2
PLCs are required by the school district. Each team must hold at least 2 PLC meetings per week and complete the PLC agenda. This is a campus 'tight' expectation. Here is the PLC folder. Admin are expected by the district to visit your PLCs at least 1x weekly. If your assigned admin is not available, we will work to ensure someone is filling in.
Please speak up if you need support with PLC on your team. We have some great PLC structures around campus and your teammates would be happy to support.

Special Education Folders, Student IEPs, 504 Plans, GT & EB
Special Education
Information in the Sped IEP folders are FERPA protected. Please ensure that you do not discuss any child's IEP with others who do not need to know or do not serve the child, in and out of school. Doing so is a violation of FERPA laws.Carefully review the IEPs of the students you serve housed in your classroom's Google folder. IEPs are also available in Easy IEP. You are legally required to follow each student's IEPs. Contact the student's case manager if you have lingering questions that were not answered during Friday's sped-gen ed IEP meeting for beginning of year student supports.
504 Plans
You have received a printed copy of every child's 504 plan in your classroom. These are also available electronically in Easy IEP. If you have questions regarding a student's 504 plan, please contact Courtney and Anna.
Gifted & Talented (GT) & Talent Explore (TE)
You have been notified of students who are GT/TE in your classroom. If you have questions regarding a student's GT/TE designation, please contact Courtney.
Emergent Bilingual (EB) Students Receiving ESL services
Students who should be receiving ESL instruction are noted in eCST. Details can be found in the Ellevation tab of the portal. Anna will be sending information regarding ESL services throughout the year.
