Chelsea High School Early College Students Visit Salem State University
On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, students from Chelsea High School’s Early College Program took an exciting and enriching field trip to Salem State University. Under clear, sunny skies, students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the college experience and envision their future academic and career pathways.
Throughout the day, students attended real college classes alongside Salem State University students, exploring subjects such as Adolescent Psychology, Introduction to Critical Race Theory, Exercise Physiology, and Special Topics in Education. These classroom experiences gave students a firsthand look at the rigor and engagement of college-level learning.
In addition to attending classes, students toured the campus, gaining insight into the university environment and its resources. They also participated in an admissions information session, where they learned more about the college application process and the opportunities available to them after high school. The visit was rounded out with a stop at the dining hall, allowing students to experience another aspect of campus life.
As Chelsea High School continues to strengthen its partnerships with Bunker Hill Community College and Salem State University, experiences like this play a vital role in helping students explore future pathways—particularly in the field of Education and beyond.
