Congratulations to our Tiger PRIDE February Students of the Month!

High School - Marcelo Herald

During the indoor track season, Marcelo Herald has set school records in the 55m Hurdles and the 60m hurdles. He is currently the school record holder for high jump and long jump. He is currently ranked #1 in the state in long jump heading into the KHSAA Indoor State Championships. He is also qualified for the 55m Hurdles, the 55m dash, 400m dash, 200m dash, and high jump. He has accomplished all of this while taking dual enrollment courses at Gateway and carrying an overall GPA of 3.57.

High School - Chloe Meyers

Chloe Meyers set the school record in both the weight throw and the shot put at the KTCCCA President’s Day Invitational. She is currently qualified for the KHSAA Class A State Indoor Championships in the shot put. She is also a leader on the JV girls basketball team and tremendous presence on the varsity team. She does all of this while taking classes at Gateway and maintaining a 4.0 GPA in the classes she is taking here at Bellevue.

Middle School - Jonah Joseph

Jonah Joseph is our middle school male student of the month for the month of February. He has qualified for the 55m dash, 200m dash, and the 400m dash for the KTCCCA Middle School State Indoor Championships. He accomplished all of this while maintaining mostly an A/B average in the classroom.

Middle School - Rosalyn Ball

Rosalyn Ball is our middle school female student of the month for the month of February. Rosalyn qualified for the KTCCCA Middle School State Indoor Championships in the shot put. She accomplished all of this while maintaining an A/B average in the classroom.

What a great night at our Girls Basketball Salute to Service Night! Thank to Head Coach Tommy Sorrell for organizing the event and THANK YOU to all of the service members from our community that attended. A great demonstration of Tiger PRIDE!

This past week, Head Coach Tommy Sorrell coached his final game at Ben Flora gym as the Head Coach of the Bellevue Lady Tiger basketball program. A 1995 Bellevue graduate, Coach Sorrell has been the Head Coach for 17 years and has been involved in the program for 24 years. His impact on the Bellevue community will be felt for years to come. THANK YOU Coach Sorrell!

Attention all rising sophomores. Did you know that you could possibly take some courses at Gateway Community College that counts both as a credit here at Bellevue and as college credit? Here is what you need to know:

• The deadline to apply is March 15th. Pick up an application from Mr. Pelgen.
• Sophomore students must have a 3.5 GPA.
• You must take an ACT exam and hit at least one of the following benchmarks. Visit act.org to register.
• Math - 19
• Reading - 20
• ACT scores must be reported to the school before the start of the 25-26 school year.
• Bellevue families are responsible to pay the discounted dual credit tuition rate during the sophomore year.

The Boys and Girls basketball teams open up District Tournament play this coming week at Newport Central Catholic High School. The boys will take on Dayton in the opening round of the boys tournament on Monday at 7:45pm at New Cath. The girls will take on Newport Central Catholic on Tuesday in the semi-finals at 7:45pm at New Cath. Let's pack the stands and support our Tigers!

Thank you for the great work during the statewide High Attendance Day! We had a great day with right around 95% attendance across Grades 6-12. 11th and 12th grades were the highest in the building with 98.11% attendance. Let's keep up the great work!
