Welcome October Welcome October

Dear Middle School Parents and Guardians,

As we welcome the month of October, we would like to thank our families for helping us begin the school year on such a positive note. The first several weeks have provided our students with opportunities to settle into their routines, build relationships with teachers and classmates, and focus on a successful year ahead.

October is an important month for our middle school students as expectations and academic responsibilities continue to grow. We encourage families to check in regularly with their children about assignments, upcoming assessments, organization, and overall progress. Developing strong habits now will help students become more confident, responsible, and independent learners throughout the school year.

As always, communication between home and school is essential. If you have questions or concerns regarding your child, please reach out to their teachers or the school so that we can work together to provide the support they need.

We look forward to a productive and enjoyable October and appreciate your continued partnership in making our middle school a welcoming, safe, and successful place for all students.

Warm regards,

Deborah Pontoriero
Chief School Administrator & Principal

Lisa Gervasi
Vice Principal

Hoodies & Jackets Reminder Hoodies & Jackets Reminder

As the weather remains warm, please remember that students should not wear hoodies or jackets during the school day until December 1st.

Wearing heavy layers can cause students to become overheated and distracted, which can interfere with learning. Students should dress comfortably and appropriately for the temperature. Thank you for helping us keep students comfortable, focused, and ready to learn!

Every Day Matters Every Day Matters

Regular attendance is an important part of your child’s success in middle school. Each school day provides valuable opportunities for students to learn, participate in class, build relationships, and stay on track academically. Missing even a few days can make it difficult for students to keep up with assignments and new material.

We ask families to make school attendance a priority by ensuring students arrive on time and ready to learn each day. When an absence is necessary due to illness or another important reason, please notify Mrs. Martinez in the main office.

School Start and Dismissal Times School Start and Dismissal Times

Doors open at 7:45 AM. Students can be dropped off a little earlier, but they will wait outside until the doors open. First period starts at 8:00 AM. If students arrive after 8:00 AM, a parent or guardian must sign them in at the main office. School hours are from 8:00 AM to 3:10 PM. Since the lower and intermediate schools dismiss at 3:15 PM, we kindly ask that middle school students be picked up first.
