Microwaves - Student Lunch

Cold weather and hot food are a great combination; however, many students are trying to cook items that take more than a minute to warm up (ramen noodles (3 min.), frozen lasagna/mac n' cheese (7 min.)/etc.). There are two microwaves available for the students to warm up their PRE-cooked lunches. If parents could cook these items at home so students only needed to warm it up, there wouldn't be students upset who were unable to use the microwave. There are approximately 120 students per grade. If there are just 20 students per lunch to use 2 microwaves for 3 minutes each, it leaves students without an opportunity to heat his/her lunch. One might think, another microwave should be added to alleviate the problem. Due to the young ages of our students, aides are stationed at the microwaves to assist students (remove silverware, aluminum, 1:00 and 10:00 are not the same, etc.). Please pre-cook lunches so a minute or less will heat them through. - THANK YOU!
