Principal's Message
Good Evening Yowell Families,
Our students will recognize Autism Awareness on Wednesday by wearing blue.
Students and families who RSVP and paid for our Someone Special Bingo Night are invited to BYOD, Bring Your Own Dinner and eat in the gym before the games.
As the weather gets warmer, our students take off their hoodies and jackets at recess and leave them lying. If you are missing a coat or hoodie, there is a good chance it could be hanging in our lost and found. You are welcome to sign in via the office and check out the lost and found.
Lastly, this is a firm reminder that we do not accept dismissal changes after 2:30pm, and students can not be picked up from the office after 3pm. If you arrive after 3pm you will be directed to our pickup line. There are many moving pieces at the end of a school day with notes being delivered, students being escorted to various locations to either be a bus rider or car rider. Having late changes in the day makes for mistakes, and that is something we work hard to avoid.
Be sure to check out our weekly newsletter with important dates, resource day, lunch menu, and so much more.
I hope this message finds you well and ready for another week together.
Mrs. Fiscus

Transportation Information
In an effort to assist schools and parents with current information about bus changes, transportation has added a new item on their website called: Transportation - Morning Update. The direct link can be found here. Also, this is the direct link to transportation.
Parents of students Pre-K through Grade 3 are expected to meet their children at the bus stop. Failure to do so will result in the child(ren) being returned to school. Should you choose to allow your child(ren) to be dropped off without supervision in the afternoon, please fill out and return this document.
We will be posting departure times for buses each day to assist parents with receiving their child from the bus stop. Please check this document each afternoon.
If your student requires transportation assistance, call the Transportation Department at 540-825-5446 or email them at transportation@ccpsweb.org
School Resource Officer (SRO)
We are happy to have a School Resource Officer (SRO) this year at Yowell. You can contact Deputy Brandon Mack with any concerns you have with school safety or anything that would be related to criminal activity.
