~Counselor's Corner~
Schedule Changes: A reminder that we are set for the semester and NO SCHEDULE CHANGES will be made until spring semester in January. If a student is not doing well in a class, counselors are happy to meet with them to problem solve and get back on track.
Counseling Center now open! We are pleased to announce that our AGHS Counseling Center is now open at break and lunch. We are located in room 515. One counselor is in the Counseling Center at break and lunch each day. This is a great place to hang out and play games or draw, to ask questions and get answers from a counselor, or to bring your friends and just eat lunch and chill.
9th Grade Guidance Talks! We will be meeting with our 9th graders through English classes starting the week of September 8th. We will be giving our 9th graders tips and advice on how to survive their first year of high school and helping them navigate AGHS and get involved.
Seniors! Can you believe that it is senior year already?? Counselors are getting ready to meet with seniors during the week of September 22nd. We will talk about post high school plans, college and college applications, and how to survive senior year. Stay tuned!
Seniors, Save the Date: Our college application night will be WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 8TH from 6-7:30 in the MPR.
Juniors and PSAT/NMSQT: AGHS is offering the PSAT/NMSQT to our junior students on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 29TH. Please see FLYER for details and LINK to register.
Work Permits
Attention all students that plan on working this year. Please submit a completed work permit request form to Mr. Coville ASAP, or email him at trevor.coville@lmusd.org. Anybody that needs their current permit extended can stop by Room 510, or email Mr. Coville as well.
AGHS Tutoring Labs

~Attendance~
Make Sure to Clear your Absences
Clear Absences by 4pm Tuesday, 09/09/25. Please make sure that the Attendance Office is informed of the reason for any still unverified absences for 08/14/25 - 09/05/25. After that date, we will not be able to make any changes.
College & Military Visits
Seniors and Juniors planning a college/military visit should stop by the Attendance Office to pick up an Excused Absence Request form ahead of their visit. If approved, up to two days may be excused.
