Dear Washington Families:
I want to thank all the Fairfield Community School District for allowing me to serve as the principal of Washington Elementary School. It has been a pleasure working with the staff, students, and parents throughout these four years. As we finish our last day and begin the summer months ahead, I encourage you to reflect on all the great accomplishments and growth your child has had this school year. Be sure to celebrate these successes with your child. I also encourage you to continue to read with your child. Time spent reading with young learners has amazing effects on students’ educational success. In addition, I encourage you to practice numeral recognition, decomposing, and addition/subtraction math facts with your child to help strengthen math skills over the summer. Have a safe and relaxing summer!
