Mountain View Elementary

It was such a great first week of school! You as parents have been so warm and welcoming, our students have been happy and working hard, and our teachers have been providing your kids with love and awesome learning opportunities. Thank you for your incredible support and your smiles and waves before and after school.

If you get a chance, send a quick note to your student's teacher to let them know how awesome they are!

We need a Reflections Chair!

The PTA Sponsored Reflections Art Contest is looking for a chair! The Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts - which boost student confidence and success in the arts. Students submit their original works of art based on interpretations of the theme (Reflections theme this year is “Accepting Imperfection”) and participate in the grade-level competition. Award winners at Mountain View have the opportunity to move on to council, region, and state levels.

Without volunteers to run this program, we will not be able to offer it at Mountain View this year. If you are able to help or would like to know more, please email mveptaboard@gmail.com. Thank you!

INTERESTED IN SERVING ON THE MOUNTAIN VIEW COMMUNITY COUNCIL?

We have two parent representative positions open for the 2024-2025 school year. If selected, parent representatives serve 2-year terms. Parent Representatives represent other parents in our community and help make important decisions about our school. Must have a student attending Mountain View at least one of the two years of your term and must be able to attend monthly meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.

Nomination form can be found here: https://forms.gle/vxadovWaeEHiUzNPA

We will be conducting a language screener with all of our 1st grade students on September 13th. English Language Learners will not be screened. If you would like to opt your student out of this screener for any reason, please contact the office. Thank you!
