PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
As we head into the busy fall season, I wanted to share some important updates and exciting events happening at Chapin Middle School.
Report cards for the first academic quarter are now available through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you would like a paper copy, please contact our School Registrar Mrs. Erika Heitman (eheitman@lexrich5.org). If Q1 was not a success for your student, please encourage him/her to take advantage of a fresh start as with the second nine weeks of the school year. For those students who excelled in their classes, well done! We are finalizing our Honor Roll now.
Our first Pep Rally as the “new” Chapin Middle School is tomorrow. In my opinion, pep rallies are a true rite of passage for middle schoolers. We encourage everyone to wear Chapin colors and gear tomorrow to show school spirit!
Next week is Red Ribbon Week, which is an opportunity for students to make a stand against drugs and alcohol. We’ll focus throughout the week on making positive choices. Please encourage your student to participate in our theme days:
Monday - Camo Spirit Day
Tuesday - Hippie/Tye-Dye Spirit Day
Wednesday - Wacky Wednesday
Thursday - Sports Spirit Day
Friday - Pink Out for Breast Cancer Awareness
Please note that there is no school on Election Day (November 3) this year. All public schools in SC close for Election Day on even-numbered years.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Go Eagles!
RED RIBBON WEEK 10/26 - 10/30
Red Ribbon Week is an opportunity to educate students and promote awareness of drug and bullying prevention. During this special week, our school community will come together to encourage healthy choices, positive decision-making, and the confidence to stand up for what is right. From October 26–30, students, faculty, and staff will celebrate Red Ribbon Spirit Week with themed activities, a Red Ribbon Photo Booth, and the events listed below. Together, we can promote a safe, supportive school environment where every student can learn and grow!
STUDENT COUNCIL SPOOKY MYSTERY BAGS
Student Council will be selling Mystery Bags Oct. 26-31 (or until they run out) for $1 each during lunches.
