Welcome back, Primos!
We hope everyone have a safe and relaxing break!
Student of the Month- December
The Student of the Month assembly was a special event recognizing students who consistently demonstrate the 3 B's: Be Respectful, Be Safe, and Be Responsible. These students serve as positive role models, showing kindness and responsibility every day. It was inspiring to celebrate their achievements and commitment to making our school a better place. Congratulations to all the winners for their outstanding behavior and leadership!
Mr. Wachter's Displays
Our talented art teacher, Mr. Wachter, helped spread holiday cheer by creating festive snowman displays at the front of the school. He also designed a fun “Take an Elfie” backdrop on the office door, giving students a perfect spot for holiday photos!
Unsung Hero Award
Congratulations to Mrs. Jade Cheng, one of fantastic first grade teachers, was honored with the Upper Darby School District's Unsung Hero Award! The Upper Darby School District's Unsung Hero Award recognizes staff members, such as teachers, social workers, and nurses, who demonstrate exceptional service, commitment, and support for students. Mrs. Cheng was given this award at the School Board meeting on December 4, 2025.
Winterfest
Winterfest brought our school community together for an evening of celebration. From face painting and shopping to meeting Santa and visiting community resource tables, there was something for everyone to enjoy!
ArT Showcase
The ArT Showcase at the DCIU highlighted creative work from students all across Delaware County. Ms. Allie and Mrs. DiTullio’s classes were excited to have their artwork featured in this special event. Families and visitors had the chance to admire a wide variety of pieces and celebrate the students’ artistic talents. It was a proud moment for our young artists and our school community!
Philadelphia Union Assembly
The Philadelphia Union visited Primos for an energetic assembly that brought soccer skills, team spirit, and positive messages to our students. The Union demonstrated drills and encouraged teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy activity. Thank you to the Philadelphia Union for coming and to Ms. Massimo for organizing this fun event.
4th and 5th Grade Winter Concert
The fourth- and fifth-grade winter concert, led by Mrs. McDade and Mr. Kulp, brought a joyful evening of music to the community. Choruses from both grades sang a selection of winter songs with strong harmonies and spirited performances. Band and orchestra students showcased their growing musicianship with polished instrumental pieces that demonstrated months of practice. The concert highlighted teamwork, dedication, and the musical growth of our upper elementary students. Families and staff filled the venue and applauded enthusiastically after each performance. A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. McDade and Mr. Kulp for their direction, the Upper Darby High School Performing Arts Center for hosting us, and Home and School for their support in making the event possible.
Kindness Tree
Student Council has introduced a special Kindness Tree to encourage acts of kindness throughout the school. When students are spotted doing something kind, they can add their name to an ornament on the tree. At the end of the month, all students recognized on the tree will be entered into a drawing for a fun prize. It's a wonderful way to celebrate positive choices and promote a caring school community!

Spirit Days
We celebrated a week of fun and festive spirit days before winter break! On Snowman Day, students dressed in their best snowman attire, followed by Candy Cane Day where everyone wore red and white and received a candy cane from Student Council. Holiday Inclusion Day encouraged students to share a special item or tradition from the holidays they celebrate. On Pajama Day, students wore cozy PJs and enjoyed reading a good book together. We wrapped up the week with Ugly Sweater Day, where students and staff showed off their silliest sweaters to kick off winter break!
Gingerbread Houses with Autistic Support
The Autistic Support classes enjoyed a sweet celebration on the day before winter break by making gingerbread houses together. Student Council members joined in to help decorate and support the activity, making it a fun and inclusive experience for everyone. Smiles, teamwork, and holiday cheer filled the room as students wrapped up the season on a joyful note.

Reminder about pick up and dismissal
As a reminder, the bus loop out front is NOT for student pickup. The bus loop is designated for bus pickup only and cars may not park in the loop. If you are not here to accept your child at 3:15 you will need to park, walk to the front of the building, and ask a staff member to call for your child.
Parents must send changes in dismissal arrangements in the form of a note or email to the classroom teacher. For safety reasons, the school will request identification from the adult at the time of pick-up. If anyone other than the parent picks up the child, they must be listed on the emergency card and have photo identification.
