The try out for winds and percussion are Thursday from 4:45-7:15 pm. The two google forms are due on Tuesday, April 15th. Please note that color guard will do their teaching round on Thursday and their interview on Tuesday, April 22nd.

Concert Band Recordings

We are so proud of our student's hard work during concert season this year. We are submitting recordings from all three bands in the ATSSB Outstanding Performance Series competition.

We are in the process of editing the recordings from UIL and the music festival on Friday. We will share the final recordings we use for competition next weekend.

Senior Info

SENIORS (and parents can too!), please share pictures from your best Band memories from the last 4 years. We need these by April 14th. We ask every senior family to submit a senior picture plus three additional photos of various ages. All pictures need to be submitted by April 14 at this link. tinyurl.com/DHSBand-Seniors

Comal ISD Fine Arts Awards Night

The Comal ISD Fine Arts Awards Night is Wednesday is April 30th at Pieper HS. All students who advanced to TSSEC will be recognized at the Fine Arts awards night on April 30th at Pieper HS. Please RSVP for the event ASAP at the link below.

Band Banquet

Band Banquet is Saturday, May 10th at the New Braunfels Civic Center. The Final Day is approaching fast(Tuesday April 15th) till midnight. We have sold 75% of tickets and seating is becoming very limited. Please don't miss out as this is great opportunity to see you child SHINE. Their will be great prizes, awards, and a time for them to enjoy themselves with great friends, music and memories that will last a lifetime.

Band banquet seating is live and available for purchase. Tickets are $40 each. Table numbers have been updated to reflect the venue's seating chart. (Please see below.) Please visit: tinyurl.com/DHSBand-Banquet for information.

Senior VIP table information will be coming to senior families from your senior committee.

Parents - we will be asking parents to excuse themselves after the dinner and awards portions of the banquet while the students have their dance.

Please note the following from our Band Handbook about Band Banquet.

Students who are ineligible two out of the three 9 weeks grading periods lose the privilege of attending the Band Banquet. All fees must be paid in full for students to purchase a band banquet ticket.

Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest

We are so proud of the 66 students who advanced to the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest (TSSEC). These students will attend contest on Monday, May 26th in the Austin area. Please mark your calendars.

All students who advanced to TSSEC will be recognized at the Fine Arts awards night on April 30th at Pieper HS. Please mark you calendars for this event as well.
