Red Ribbon Week Door Decorating Contest
This past week, our students and staff showed their creativity and school spirit by participating in a Red Ribbon Week door decorating contest! Red Ribbon Week is a national campaign that promotes healthy, drug-free lifestyles and encourages students to make positive choices.
Our hallways were filled with vibrant, inspiring designs — a true reflection of the Strayer spirit! 🎨🚪

Tech School Visit
Nearly 300 Strayer students took part in an informative session led by Upper Bucks County Technical School. The presentation introduced the many programs UBCTS offers in areas such as health sciences, engineering, skilled trades, and the arts. Students learned how these opportunities can lead to industry certifications, apprenticeships, college credits, and future careers—helping them begin to plan their next steps as they enter high school.
🏒 Quakertown Hockey is Back!
The Quakertown Hockey Club kicked off a brand-new era this season with an exciting 10–0 victory over Council Rock North in their opener! After being dormant since 2022, the program has officially returned — starting with a middle school team made up of students in grades 5 through 8. The club plans to expand and field a high school team next season.
You can follow their schedule, highlights, and latest updates on Facebook at @QuakertownHockeyClub. Go Panthers! 🐾

Parent-Teacher Conferences – Monday, Nov. 3
We’re looking forward to connecting with families during Parent-Teacher Conferences on Monday, November 3! Information and sign-up links were shared in the October 19th newsletter. Our team is excited to share updates on student performance, progress, and growth. Families with early morning conferences, we’ll be ready to open Strayer’s doors at 8:00 AM.
Please remember that conferences are scheduled in 15-minute time slots. We are asking that all teachers and families stay within the allotted time so we can remain respectful of other parents’ time.
If you signed up for a virtual conference, the Google Meet links are available on the conference sign-up document (found in the Oct. 19 family newsletter)
Thank you for your partnership and support — we look forward to a great day of meaningful connections!
Strayer Food Drive
Our National Junior Honor Society students are sponsoring a Strayer Food Drive to support the Quakertown Food Pantry! We’re collecting non-perishable food items such as:

-
Side dishes (pasta, rice, potatoes)
-
Canned meats (tuna, chicken, ham)
-
Peanut butter and jelly
-
Canned soup
Students can drop off donations in the main office from November 10 through November 24.
Thank you for helping us support families in our community!
Family Feedback Opportunity: MTSS Survey
As part of our ongoing work to strengthen family engagement, the QCSD MTSS District Team has created a short Parent/Guardian Survey to gather input on how families experience communication, support, and connection within our schools. The survey is anonymous and focuses on improving our systems—not individual classrooms or teachers.
Families can complete the survey by visiting https://tinyurl.com/QCSDinput. Your feedback will help us reflect and grow at both the district and building levels as we continue to enhance the Strayer experience for all families.
Thank you for sharing your voice and partnering with us in this important work!
