BULLDOG BULLETIN
December 20, 2024
Sarah Adams Families,
We have had such a fun few weeks, with daily celebrations throughout the building! Thank you to our Student Leadership Club who created 2 weeks of spirit days; I loved seeing so many of our students and staff members actively participating and showing off their creativity! We also had special performances from our band and orchestra this week, who shared their musical talents with our school community. Our first graders are participating in Polar Express Day today and our fourth graders held a poetry event Wednesday of this week. It has been wonderful seeing so much joy and fun!
As we approach the winter break, I want to take a moment to send my warmest wishes to each of you. This season is a wonderful time to pause, spend quality moments with family and friends, and create memories for years to come. Whether you're enjoying festive traditions, embarking on new adventures, or simply taking time to rest and recharge, I hope this break brings joy to your household.
I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible partnership we share. Your dedication to supporting your children and collaborating with our staff is what makes our Bulldog community so special! We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new year, refreshed and ready to continue our journey of growth and learning. Until then, have a safe and joyful winter break with family and friends!
Warm regards,
Dr. Colleen Conway

Teachers Make A Difference Award
Annually, District 95 takes time to recognize its exceptional staff members. The Teachers Make a Difference Award is designed to recognize those teachers who have represented our mission and gone far beyond normal expectations in supporting or motivating a student or group of students. We hope each family will consider this opportunity to complete a nomination and share their own appreciation for our educators!
Click here to complete a nomination for the Teachers Make a Difference Awards
All nominations are due by midnight on January 2, 2025!
From the many nominations we anticipate receiving, a selection committee of district administrators will select three of our outstanding educators to be honored in front of their peers during our annual staff awards program. Winning teachers will also receive a monetary award toward the use of professional development or other educational resources to continue to support their exceptional work with students as well as to further their professional development.

Safety Reminder
We kindly remind all parents and caregivers to please drive carefully and follow speed limits on school property and in the surrounding neighborhood. Many of our students walk, ride bikes, or use scooters to get to and from school, and their safety is our top priority.
Please be mindful of crosswalks, follow posted speed limits, and avoid distractions such as cell phones while driving. This is especially important during busy times before and after school. Together, we can ensure that everyone gets to school and home safely.

This year, in conjunction with the District 95 Board of Education and administration, the Superintendent has started a new initiative called “Sip ‘n Chat” where up to two Board members, one or more administrators, and Dr. Gallt will be available at various locations in the community for people to drop in for conversations relating to our school district. Key administrators will also be on hand as subject matter experts in particular areas, but discussions are not restricted to only that topic.
