Mission Statement
As a Catholic community of faith, the mission of Saint John Nepomuk Catholic School is to model the gospel teachings of Jesus Christ and the principles of the Catholic Church. We are committed to the education and development of life-long learners and leaders.
House Mass
House mass is Wednesday, May 7th at 1:30pm. We will not have school mass on Friday due to the Okarche Track Meet.
Teacher Appreciation Week!
May 5th-9th is Teacher Appreciation Week! We still need volunteers to cover lunch/recess for our teachers. This is a wonderful opportunity to get Care and Share Hours!
No Aftercare on Friday, May 9th
There will be no aftercare on Friday, May 9th, due to the Okarche Track Meet. I apologize for the late notice.
Okarche Track Meet
Arrival & Drop-Off
Please drop off students as usual by 8:00 a.m. After drop-off, proceed to the parking lot north of the PAC/Discipleship buildings, located just north of the church. Once everyone has been dropped off, we’ll form a new pick-up line just like dismissal—but in reverse! Cars will enter north to south and exit using the drive next to the cemetery. (See map below.)
Important Reminders:
This is not a drop-off event. A parent or guardian must remain at the track with your child for the day. Event Address: 211 West Missouri, Okarche, OK 73762 Students will receive a sticker with their event name and time during morning attendance. I recommend taking a photo of the sticker in case it falls off during the day. Once your child finishes their final event, you may check them out—but don’t forget to sign out with Miss Emily before leaving!
PCTC
If you have already received PCTC awards, please email them to Art Chernak (achernak@sjnok.org) or myself (gmeiwes@sjnok.org).

ACE Camp
he Aeronautical Center and AAR are hosting the 18th Annual Aviation Career Education (ACE) Camp tailored to students in the 7th and 8th grades. It’s four fun-filled days of aviation-related activities, perfect for young aviation enthusiasts or those who don’t know anything about aviation.
ACE Camp’s mission is to introduce students to a variety of careers that are available in aerospace, to learn about aviation, and to understand the importance that air transportation plays in our society and our economy.
The camp dates are June 9-12th, 2025, or June 23-26th, 2025. Both camps are from 8 am - 5 pm with lunches provided.
We are looking for 52 students who will be in the 7th or 8th grades during the 2025-2026 school year. Students must complete an application and provide a letter of recommendation. The one-week camp is free, but the application process is competitive, as only 26 students are selected for each camp. All applications will be reviewed and decided upon by a selection committee. The deadline to receive applications is April 30, 2025.
Applications, along with a letter of recommendation can be submitted through one of these options:
