Y5 & 6 Productions

It’s almost a 'wrap' on Term 3, which ends on a high note with the Y6 Production this evening. The students have worked hard to bring a memorable show to the audience, made all the more special as this is one of those last Primary School events the children will take with them when they finish the school year.

I’d like to acknowledge the hardworking Y6 team for putting the show together, which I know has been fun for all concerned. I'd also like to thank the parents who volunteered to make costumes for the children, which really brings the magic to life for our performers!

PTA Thanks

Continuing the theatrical theme, I'd also like to thank the PTA for their hard work this term, including the 'Theatre Sports' PTA Social. This was a new initiative, and one that certainly turned out to be a particularly colourful one!

Sincere thanks also to Helen Eastwood for organising the wonderful calendar art - proofs should be finding their way home soon for ordering!

Strategic Plan Board Consultation

As I mentioned last week, you should now also have a link (in the form of a HERO post) to the Board’s Community Survey, which we invite you to complete. The survey is quick and easy, and will help us as a Board to consider key themes and next steps for our school, along with perspectives from staff (and students!).

The goals that we develop from this information moving forward are of consequence for staff, families and the children themselves, helping to prioritise and answer the key questions of what we value, aspire to and believe matters most for our tamariki here at MENPS.

Please take the time to have your say and share your perspective when you have a moment. The survey closes at the end of Week 1, Term 4. If you missed the HERO post, please also see the link below.

As an added incentive, every survey respondent goes in the draw to win a $150 Farro Gift Card!

See You in Term 4!

There has been a lot to celebrate this term, and we’re very proud of the progress the children have made - we look forward to more in Term 4, with warm wishes for a great term break.

Please be reminded of the open invitation to the Hikoi tomorrow (see below) and also, note the Teacher Only Day (school closed for instruction) on Friday, 23 October (before Labour Day Weekend).

See you next term!

A huge thank you to Whaea Kate and the incredible students in Rūma 33 who carefully counted Yummy Apple Sticker Sheets!

It’s wonderful to see students getting involved, helping their school, and showing off their amazing Maths superpowers!

Thank You everyone who helped collect Yummy Apple stickers this year — we’re excited to share that MENPS has collected 100 sticker collection sheets giving a total of 11,422 points! What an amazing effort!

Every sticker has made a difference, and we truly appreciate your support. The collection sheets have now been sent to Yummy Apples, and we’re currently waiting to find out how much Yummy Apple sports gear funding we’ll receive and share this when we find out.

Even though this year’s stickers have already been submitted, please keep collecting Yummy Fruit stickers for next year. If you have full collection sheets at home, please bring them to your child's classroom teacher who will bring them to the office and they will be kept for next year.
