A Note from Mr. Steven Will, Interim Principal

Dear Hardy Families,

I am honored to serve as the Interim Principal at Hardy Elementary School. In just the few days I’ve been on campus, I have already seen so many amazing people working together to support the Hardy community.

I see teachers and instructional support staff creating fun, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences for our students. I see our office staff welcoming students and families with warm smiles. I see parents volunteering their time and energy to help make Hardy the best school it can be.

It is clear that Hardy is a special place, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of this community. I look forward to learning more about our students, staff, and families and to providing the support needed to help our students and school continue to thrive.

I’m excited for the weeks ahead and look forward to getting to know the Hardy community!

Hardy's Next Principal: What's Next?

The community input and panel-interest windows have now closed, and the principal selection process is moving into interviews.

As shared with the community by Dr Cazary, here’s the projected timeline:

Sep 22–23: Level 1 interviews
Oct 2: Community Panel interviews
Oct 6: Performance interview
Oct 8: Superintendent & Deputy Superintendent interviews
Oct 13: Tentative Board approval/announcement
Nov 2: Tentative start date

We’ll continue sharing updates with Hardy families as the process moves forward.

Jog-a-Thon Starts Next Week!

APEX kicks off Monday, September 28! Students will come home with a badge featuring a QR code that families can use to access their individual pledge page.

Our Jog-a-Thon is Wednesday, October 7. More details will come home as the fundraiser gets underway—nothing to do just yet, but keep an eye out for that badge next week!

Thank you to everyone who attended our first PTA general meeting of the year, both in person and online.

Members approved the 2026-2027 budget, and we previewed upcoming family engagement events such as Fall Carnival and gathered input on arts & science enrichment for the year ahead.

🎨 Celebrating Hardy Artists

Last Friday, students enjoyed their first PTA-funded arts & science enrichment of the year: a draw-along art assembly. The instructor captivated our little artists with jokes and expertly integrated math terms while guiding kids through illustrations.

More art and science assemblies and workshops are planned this year thanks to your PTA membership and donations!
