National Honor Society
The National Honor Society (NHS) has its annual induction ceremony on Thursday,
February 5th at 6:30 PM in the Student Center. We encourage all parents/guardians of
invited students to attend. Membership in the National Honor Society is one of the highest honors
that can be awarded to a high school student. The NHS has worked hard to bring the
accomplishments of outstanding students to the attention of parents, teachers, peers,
and the community.
No student is inducted simply because of a high academic average. The National Honor
Society strives to recognize the total student: one who excels in these areas. The
standards used for your selection were the following:
· Scholarship--grade point of 3.5 or higher and four honors/DE credits each year
· Leadership, Service, and Character--as demonstrated by activities and the teacher
evaluations
Membership, however, is more than an honor. It incurs a responsibility and an obligation
to demonstrate those outstanding qualities that resulted in your selection.
Congratulations to our Honor Society Inductees!

ATHLETICS
It is a busy and exciting time for Blackfoot High School athletics! Our winter teams are deep in competition and making us proud with strong performances across the board. Here is where our teams stand as of mid-January:
Wrestling: The wrestling program is riding a wave of momentum! Just last night, the Broncos secured a massive victory over our cross-river rivals, Snake River, claiming bragging rights in a hard-fought duel. Both the Boys and Girls teams also put up a strong showing at the Madison Invitational earlier this month. They are now focused on refining their technique and carrying this energy into the District tournaments in February.
Boys Basketball: The Boys Basketball team is having a standout season, currently sitting at 10-2 overall and leading the conference with a 5-1 record. They are fresh off a big 65-52 win against Idaho Falls earlier this week. They are ranked #2 in the 5A classification and are looking strong as they head toward the playoffs.
Girls Basketball: Our Lady Broncos are dominating the court with an impressive 15-4 overall record. They secured a decisive 50-35 victory over Shelley just yesterday and are currently holding the top spot in the district standings.
Cheer & Fillies: Our spirit squads are in championship mode! The BHS Cheer Team and Fillies Dance Team are perfecting their routines as they gear up for their respective District and State competitions next month. They continue to bring the energy to our sidelines while working tirelessly for their own competitive season.
Support Our Broncos! Come out and fill the stands to support our student-athletes as they push for postseason glory. Click the link below to see our schedule:
