Acts of Service at NPE
Cards of Hope
On Friday, January 23 NPE students will be coloring and creating Cards for Hope for non-profit Bringing Hope Home. These cards contain cheerful and uplifting messages for individuals (and their families) who have been diagnosed with cancer. This work is connected to our observance of MLK and acts of service.
Bringing Hope Home is a nonprofit organization that provides Unexpected Amazingness to local Families with cancer through financial and emotional support. Through our Light of Hope Family Grant, we offer a one-time grant to pay essential household bills for Families with cancer such as rent, mortgage, and household utility bills. Since 2008, we have assisted over 11,000 local Families in need.

Blessing Bags
In addition to our cards of hope, grade 3 students will be assembling blessing bags for Holy Trinity Church's Outreach Program in Chester for the unhoused as part of our MLK Service Projects.
Holy Trinity has been supporting NPE by providing additional snacks for our students. This project directly supports individuals facing homelessness and food insecurity by providing small but meaningful essentials—something comforting to eat, something to care for themselves with, and a message reminding them that they matter. It strengthens our students’ emotional development by building empathy, compassion, and a sense of responsibility for others. Students will learn how their actions can positively impact the world around them, fostering kindness that will extend far beyond this project.
