Join us for Back-to-School Night on September 25th

Hello Winter Hill families,

We are excited to welcome all parents, caregivers, and families to the Winter Hill Back-to-School night on Thursday, September 25th.

Community Information: 5:00 - 6:30

Visit the clothing closet for free clothes on the second floor outside the liaisons' office;

Connect with our community partners - Somerville Office of Immigrant Affairs (Somerviva) and Community Action Agency of Somerville (CAAS) outside the liaisons' office;
Chat with our PTA members, enjoy snacks, and join the PTA (parent-teacher association) in the cafeteria;
Meet all of our staff - students will have a sheet and will get a sticker for every adult that they introduce you to!

Classroom Information: Two sessions to choose from - 5:00 - 5:30 OR 6:00 - 6:30

Meet your child's teachers, see their learning spaces, and learn about what your child will learn this year!

Students and siblings must stay with parents/guardians for the entire evening.

We look forward to coming together as a community on Thursday!

Please note:

These clubs are only available to students who are not currently enrolled in an after-school program.
Students will transition directly from their classrooms to meet with their designated instructor.
At the end of each club, dismissal will take place at the main office entrance.

Soccer Without Borders

Check out Soccer without Borders for students in grades 6 - 8.

First Meeting: Thursday, October 9, 6:00 - 7:30 PM, WHEdgerly Library

CORRECTION: OUR FIRST MEETING IS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 9TH!

We will have our first Governing Board meeting in October. Governing Board is our school's site council. The school site council is a group of teachers, parents, staff, and community members that works with the principal to develop and review the school improvement plan and discuss school needs. Meetings are open to the public and subject to open meeting laws.

Please reach out to Principal Gosselin (cgosselin@k12.somerville.ma.us) if you are interested in serving on the Governing Board.

We’re excited to bring back the International Potluck after last year’s great event, this time earlier in the school year to help families connect sooner.

More details will follow, but for now please hold the date. Start thinking about what dish you’d like to share, and get ready for another raffle where every attendee receives a free entry. And note that this is not a fundraiser. It’s a chance to come together, enjoy good food, and celebrate the many cultures that make up our Wildcat community.

GILMAN SQUARE ARTS AND MUSIC FESTIVAL!

A heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported our PTA fundraiser at the festival last Saturday! Whether you donated treats, volunteered your time, or simply stopped by for a snack, we raised important funds to support our school. Also, let's hear it for The Goonie Birds and Weird Friendz! Thank you for sharing your musical talent with our community!

Daddy Jones restaurant will donate a portion of sales—whether you dine in or order take-out—to the Winter Hill Community Innovation School PTA, helping to fund programs and initiatives for our students.
