The Weekly Update #4

Dear NES Racer Families,

Happy September! We’ve officially wrapped up our first month of school, and what a fantastic start it has been. Our classrooms are buzzing as students dive into new concepts and build strong learning habits every day. We also recently wrapped up STAR testing; during our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences, teachers will walk you through your child's score report and discuss individual goals for the year ahead.

As Newcastle Racers, our students learn The Racer Creed. I am attaching it to this newsletter for you to work with your child at home to memorize it. You should also ask your child to recite their Classroom Creed! All classes have written their own creed to live by within the classroom.

Thank you for partnering with us to make this year a great success!

We will host our first Racer Rally of the 2026–2027 school year on September 18th! Our student-led assemblies showcase our Great Expectations values and celebrate student achievements. If your child is being recognized as a Racer of the Month for August, their teacher should have contacted you with details so you can attend.

Our next Racer Rally will take place on October 2nd, where we will recognize students who demonstrate the character trait of Respect throughout September.
