Administrative Weekly Message Administrative Weekly Message

It’s hard to believe we are already nearing the halfway point of the second grading period. One of our focus areas this month is supporting students’ use of our computer-based learning programs. To help with this, we are encouraging all families to assist their child in meeting our schoolwide DreamBox goal each week:

  • Kindergarten–2nd Grade: 5 lessons per week

  • 3rd–5th Grade: 10 lessons per week

Additionally, the PCS Annual Stakeholder Survey is now open through December 19, 2025. We value your voice and encourage all families to participate. Your feedback provides meaningful insight that helps support Brooker Creek Elementary and Pinellas County Schools.

Thank you, parents and guardians, for your continued support and partnership. We appreciate your involvement in our school community and in your child’s education.

The Tampa Bay Lightning will be visiting our school on Friday, November 21st! Students in 1st–5th grade will have the opportunity to participate in fun and engaging hockey activities, led by the Lightning staff. In order for your child to participate, a signed waiver is required.

Please complete the waiver using the link below by November 20th.

Students who do not have a completed waiver will still be able to watch and cheer on their classmates but will not be able to take part in the activities.

Thank you!

Attendance Attendance

Dr. Brown and I want to take a moment to remind everyone of the importance of students being present for the entire school day, every day. Each hour of instruction matters, and consistent attendance has a direct impact on student success and learning growth.

Please make every effort to schedule doctor’s appointments, family activities, and vacations outside of school hours whenever possible. We are seeing an increase in students missing critical instructional time due to early dismissals and absences, and we want every Bobcat to have the opportunity to thrive academically and socially.

Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to your child’s education. Together, we can ensure every student makes the most of their learning time each day. Please feel free to reach out should you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter.

Thank you,

Mrs. Gerber

Labeling Your Childs Belongings Labeling Your Childs Belongings

We kindly ask that all parents take a moment this week to label your child’s lunch box, water bottle, and jackets. Each day, students misplace these items, and without a name, we are unable to identify and return them. Labeling your child’s belongings helps ensure that if something is misplaced, it can be returned quickly so your child is not without it for an extended period of time.

Thank you for your support and cooperation!

Today, our school conducted a required instructional fire drill. As part of this drill, teachers reviewed the district’s electronic battery safety curriculum with students. This lesson helps ensure that students understand safe practices when using and handling devices with rechargeable batteries.
