Highlights of the Week
Black History Month Celebration
If you missed the last Community Crew, you really missed out! We had a visit from the Manga African Dance company and they put on an amazing show! Students learned about the African diaspora, and were treated to demonstrations of dancing and rhythms from several different African countries. Some student volunteers even got to join them on stage and learn a new dance! Thank you to our PTA for sponsoring this experience.
Wit & Wisdom Brings Increased Rigor to Language Arts
Our new ELA curriculum, Wit & Wisdom allows students the opportunity to read and think deeply about big issues in our world. Second graders are learning about Ruby Bridges and imagining the sights, sounds, and feelings she would have experienced.

Thank you to everyone who auditioned!

Take GaDOE's Annual School Climate Survey
Please take a moment this week to make your voice heard and participate in the Georgia Department of Education climate survey for your school! Your participation and feedback are greatly appreciated. The data collected will help determine the School Climate Star Ratings for the 2026-27 school year, which will enable schools to improve or build upon their successes.
PTA News
Our next spirit night is coming up!
Come out Tuesday, March 10th for some delicious burgers and good times with the Clairemont Crew! 15% of sales that night will be donated to PTA!

This membership supports our school and the National and State PTA by paying annual dues that help us operate. We use PTA funds to support teacher grants and school events. A portion of the $10 serves as dues paid to the National and State Parent Teacher Association, which is our governing organization.
