Hilltop Elementary School

We are excited to welcome next year’s kindergarten students to Hilltop School. If your child is not already enrolled in our Preschool program, please pre-register them here. Please have the following documents printed out and completed to upload during the online pre-registration process:

Residency Packet
Health Assessment Record
Universal Health Record (completed by physician) and Immunization Record
Entrance Form (Kindergarten Only)
Dental Exam (Kindergarten Only)

In addition, please make sure to upload the following original and most recent documents:

Your child's birth certificate

Three (3) of the following:

Mortgage Statement
Certificate of Occupancy
Homeowner's or Renter’s Insurance
Tax Bill
Lease
Deed
Gas or Electric bill

Current Hilltop preschool families, please contact Mrs. Carpentiere for more information on submitting the required forms and documentation listed above.

Drop-Off

Please allow a space for students to walk on the back patio to get to their lines during morning drop-off. Please refrain from bringing your dogs onto school grounds during drop-off and pick-up.

Attendance

A reminder regarding student attendance: Per Mendham Borough Board of Education regulation 5200, "A day in session shall consist of not less than four hours, exclusive of recess and lunch periods." A student who arrives late or leaves early and does not meet the four hour minimum will be marked absent. Students must be present for a full day (at least 4 hours of instruction)

Late to school or absent

Please email or call Nurse Kaitlyn to inform the school if your child will be absent or late to school. Any child that arrives after 8:35 must be signed in by their parent/guardian.

Pick Up Patrol

Please note that any changes regarding your child’s dismissal plan MUST be entered in Pick-Up Patrol. After 1:00 p.m. any changes must be called into the main office. Staff will send your child to the designated area as specified in the daily dismissal report.
