Opening of School Celebration! Go Blue! Go Gold!

This year we started the year off by introducing our 7th graders to their new Blue and Gold teams! The eighth grade Blue team welcomed the 7th grade Blue team into the pep rally, and Grade 8 Gold team cheered on their new 7th grade members!

Blue and gold teams competed against each other in relay races. Staff members also got in on the fun, competing against each other and students. Mr. Weisblatt, our MC, introduced the staff to the student body, as only he can! We plan to continue to the spirit competitions throughout the school year.

It was great to have our whole school together to have some fun at the end of the busy opening of school. Thank you to Mrs. Esposito who planned our relay races! We are looking forward to our next pep rally!

Human Bingo

We played Human Bingo by grade level during our Opening of School Celebration. This encouraged students to meet new people and talk to their peers throughout the day. Students wore Bingo numbers and tried to find their classmates to fill their Bingo card. They were also challenged to find their “Bingo Twin” in the opposite grade, which many of them did! At the pep rally, “Bingo Twins” could compete in a game together if they chose to! Students and staff did a great job participating throughout the day!

FirstView Bus App for Families

Lower Moreland Township School District has partnered with FirstView which is an app for parents that allows for direct access to the status of your child’s bus. FirstView GPS tracks the bus on a map and allows you to set up a customizable geo-fence around your pick-up/drop-off location, so you can be alerted when the bus is close. You can customize your notifications on the app.

This is a free app for parents that can be downloaded from Google Play or the Apple App Store. Here are the instructions for getting started with the app: FirstView Bus App. The instruction sheet has the district code and a list of the bus routes that are needed to register. Using this app is optional. The district will continue to send Connect Ed notifications about the status of bus changes or significant delays.

LMMS Fall Sports Information

Please see below for tryout/coaching info for all fall sports. Coaches will be distributing practice/game schedules once teams are formed.

Football

Football will begin heat acclimatization on August 31st from 2:45-4:30 PM. Practice will occur at the practice Football field.

Cross Country

Coach: TBD

Cross Country will begin practice on September 14th from 3:00-4:30 PM. The location is TBD.

Field Hockey

Field Hockey tryouts will take place on September 8th, 9th, and 10th from 3:00-4:30 PM.

Girls Soccer

Girls Soccer tryouts will begin on September 15th from 3:00-4:45 PM.

Boys Soccer

Annual Technology Fee Due for All Students

If you have not paid your annual Technology Fee, please pay this as soon as possible. This fee can be paid online through your Myschoolbucks account. We can also take cash or checks made out to Lower Moreland Township School District. Click HERE for information about this fee.

If you child needs a Chromebook charger, please send in $25.00 to the Tech Center to purchase one. You need to purchase this through the school and not through an outside vendor. Chromebooks need to come to school charged every day. Thank you!

Parent/Guardian Information about Canvas

Our teachers are using Canvas, which is our learning management system. Parents and guardians can be added as observers to your child's account.

An observer can view and read announcements, view the calendar, and view assignment due dates. If you want to read more about the observer role, click HERE. There are instructions for how to become an observer on your child's account. Parents/guardians can be paired with more than one account if you have multiple students.
