π» Halloween at LES π
Happy Halloween from Gru and his Minions!
A big thanks to our parents for your donations and for volunteering your time to make today special. Our students had a wonderful time celebrating Halloween! We hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend.
Friendly Reminder: Please DO NOT send students to school on Monday with bags of Halloween candy! We know there's plenty of celebrating to be done, but let's keep the candy at home!

Progress Reports
Progress Reports will be sent home today or distributed during Parent-Teacher Conferences next week. As we continue navigating PowerSchool, we've encountered a few minor roadblocks. As a result, Progress Reports may look slightly different from grade level to grade level. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through the transition. Our goal is to have PowerSchool fully up and running for Semester 1 Report Cards. Thank you for your continued support and patience!

Free Childcare 5 & Up, Itβs On Us!
Are you navigating the ups and downs of raising kids in a tech-filled world? Join us for a free special screening of "Screenagers," followed by an insightful discussion on kids growing up in the digital age. Parenting in the digital age isn't easy, but you don't have to navigate it alone. Afterward, stick around for a Q&A and discussion featuring local experts from Barry County Mental Health Authority and our school professionals who will offer insights, answer your questions, and share practical help for parents. Don't miss this opportunity on November 12, 6:00 pm to find guidance, encouragement, and real solutions to help raising healthy, balanced kids in today's screen-saturated culture. Parent Support Night
Our LES intervention team is considering hosting a Family Education Night to provide parents and caregivers with practical strategies for managing behaviors, setting expectations, and supporting children at home. We want this evening to focus on topics that are most helpful to your family. If you're interested, please use the QR code to complete a short survey, checking all the topics you would be interested in learning more about.
We're better together!

Picture Retakes πΈ
Picture retake day is Friday, November 13th. If you'd like your student to have their picture retaken, please contact their teacher to let them know. This will ensure your student is added to the retake list.
Reminders
- Doors Open: 8:47
- School Starts: 8:57
- Dismissal: 3:45
- We do not have supervision outside prior to 8:47
- If your child is home with a fever or vomiting, you must keep them home until they are fever free and/or vomiting free for 24 hours without medication
Parent Drop-Off π
If you're dropping your student off, please follow the procedures we have in place and use the designated drop-off area. We understand the line can be long, but it is long for everyone. If you or your student has a specific need that warrants a different drop-off location, please contact the office.
Dismissal
Parents should remain in their vehicles and have their child's number ready when arriving for pick-up.
For students in Kinderstart - 3rd grade, parent pick-up is at the front of the building ONLY. Please do not pick up students behind the school or at the north doors. The north doors are used for GSRP and ECSE ONLY. This procedure is in place to help ensure the safety of all students and families.
If you need to buckle your child in, please get them in the vehicle and pull forward. This will help keep the flow of traffic in the pick-up line moving.
Thank you!
Walking/Biking to and From School π²
A.M. Arrival:
Students who walk/bike to school should enter through Door 4 at the back of the building. Door 4 will be supervised for the first five minutes of the morning, from 8:47β8:52 a.m. After 8:52 a.m., walkers/bikers will need to walk around the building to the front entrance.
P.M. Dismissal:
Students walking/biking after school will exit through the cafeteria doors and follow the designated path to 6th Avenue.
Washington Blvd. Drop-Off & Pick-Up
During morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up, please do not block driveways along Washington Blvd. We have received several complaints from residents who have been unable to leave their homes because their driveways are blocked.
We understand that the line can be long, but please be mindful of our neighbors and keep all driveways clear. This is an important courtesy. Thank you for helping us be good neighbors!
