CTAE Student of the Year

Parkview High School is proud to recognize Jason Schaefer as our CTAE Student of the Year! An outstanding Engineering Pathway student and dedicated Technology Student Association (TSA) member, Jason exemplifies excellence in academics, leadership, innovation, and service. From earning top honors in engineering competitions to dedicating over 130 hours of his summer to improving our engineering lab, Jason consistently goes above and beyond. His passion for mechanical engineering, willingness to mentor younger students, and commitment to helping others make him an exceptional representative of Parkview’s CTAE program. Jason is proof that great engineers don’t just build things—they build opportunities for others. We are incredibly proud of his accomplishments and excited to see what his future holds! Congratulations, Jason!

The Marching Panthers Step into the Winners Circle

The students in the Parkview Marching Band finished their season on a high note, winning Grand Champions at the 2026 March The Plank Invitational in Pike County High School. The students won overall first place in the contest, with first place Drum Majors, Color Guard, and Band. The band also placed 2nd place in percussion at the contest. Congratulations to all the students!

CTSO Day at Six Flags Results

On October 7, 2026, Parkview Technology Student Association competed at the Six Flags CTSO Day Conference at Six Flags over Georgia in Austell, GA. Competing members received various finalist awards and top placements, as listed below:

1st Place: T-Shirt Design

Doan Dang (10th), created an engaging design to be printed for Parkview TSA’s membership shirts, securing the top placement in the state.

5th Place: Infographic

Emnet Tesfaye (12th), through her visually compelling and comprehensive research infographic, placed 4th in the state.

4th Place: Pin Design

Doan Dang (10th) and Prisha Devisha (10th) demonstrated remarkable understanding of what represents Georgia, through their Georgia TSA pin design, placing 4th in the state.

7th Place: Lab Poster

Onima Nasrin (11th) and Anishka Anishka (11th) highlighted their extensive knowledge in the history of Georgia TSA, designing a lab poster on this topic and placing 7th in the state.

eSports Charge up the Ranks to #8

Congratulations to Parkview eSports, they swept East Paulding High School 3-0 in Marvel Rivals yesterday (Oct. 26)! Kenny Vo and Gabriel Kelley set the tone early, while Diego Padron, Noah Neely, and Caleb Johnson sealed the sweep, pushing the Panthers up to #8 in the state of Georgia! Great job, Panthers!

Parkview Esports pulled off a thrilling 3-2 victory over North Paulding High in Super Smash Bros yesterday(Oct. 28)! Noah Neely picked up a key set win, while Captain Nick Beaver sealed the Game 5 decider using Isabelle to close out Week 6. Great job, Panthers!

Do You Need to Turn in Documents or Absence Notes?

You can now submit information regarding absences, such as doctor's notes, in ParentVUE. That is done in a separate place than you would upload other doccuments.

All other documents should be uploaded in your ParentVUE app. All student files are now digital, so any documents can be uploaded under "Documents" in the ParentVUE app.

Credit Recovery Options During Fall 2026 Semester

Credit Recovery is available to students who have previously failed a course with a grade between 50-69.
Credit Recovery is not recognized by the NCAA clearinghouse.
Once complete, the student will be added to the credit recovery section and the grade earned will be added to the student’s course history at the end of the academic term.

Credit Recovery using Georgia Virtual School

All work is self-paced and is completed by the student at home except for Post Tests.
All Post Tests must be taken under supervision of Mr. Romero in the Credit Recovery Lab in D-1.424 (lab in cafeteria).

Attention Seniors:

In order to be featured in their senior yearbook, seniors must have their portrait taken with CADY, either during an on-campus session or at a local CADY studio. Students who qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch may contact the Yearbook Adviser at Sara.Spring-Kinsey@gcpsk12.org to inquire about obtaining a voucher code to waive the sitting fee. Book early!
