Principal's Update

Western Center families and friends ,

During the month of February, schools across the country celebrated Career and Technical Education Month. Here at WMCTC, we celebrated with spirit days, pre-planned events such as Skills over Stereotypes and even shout outs to fellow WMCTC students. As the month is winding down, let's take a moment to celebrate the people and programs that make WMCTC such a great place to learn!

Mock Interview week will be held from March 2nd-March 6th. Mock Interviews are for seniors who are not on Co-Op. Each shop will have a day where volunteers from the industry will come in and conduct a practice interview that will last about 10-15 minutes. Seniors are expected to come on their assigned day dressed as they would in an actual interview in industry. They are also expected to bring a current resume. This will be a graded assignment, but it is also good practice for real life after graduation. If there are any questions, please email Ms. Powers at jpowers@westerncenter.org

The New Student Application continues to be open on our website. We encourage anyone interested in attending WMCTC to apply. Deadline is March 15, 2026.

Our Facebook page (link below) has many posts featuring students doing interesting things in their programs. You may even find a WMCTC alum being featured. Check us out. Better yet, follow us on Facebook to be sure you don't miss any of the feature stories.

Have a nice weekend.
