Greetings Rincon Community,

The Rincon Team is excited to welcome back all students on Tuesday, August 19th! It is going to be an amazing year of learning, joy, and opportunities. Our goal is for ALL students to feel a deep sense of belonging and know how much they matter. We are excited to welcome them in a big way. We are counting down the days!

Thursday, August 14th marked the beginning of an exciting journey at Rincon! Staff was deeply engaged in learning and collaboration to set site goals this year. Together, we're embarking on an adventure, and exploring what matters most to our vibrant community of learners. Let's inspire, discover, and grow together was the spirit of this day! Adventure awaits us this year, filled with opportunities for learning, creativity, and collaboration. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead watching our Bulldogs B.A.R.K (Believe, Achieve, Respect, and Kindness)!

On Monday, August 18th at 4:00 p.m., students’ Advisory class placements will be posted on the fence at the front of campus. Grade level lists will have each student’s name listed in alphabetical order with the name of the Advisory Teacher and classroom number where the student is to report on the first day of school by 8:00 a.m. Students’ schedules that contain all teachers and classes will be passed out during the Advisory period on students’ first day. EUSD will begin displaying students' schedules in Rooms and PowerSchool Monday evening as well.

The EUSD mobile app is your one-stop shop for messaging teachers, receiving classroom updates, and keeping up with school and district news and events. The free “EUSD Escondido CA” app is available for download from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

For families new to EUSD, invitations to download the app are being sent via email and text. Simply sign in using your phone number or email address. See the Sign Up for Rooms flyer - English (PDF) | Sign Up for Rooms flyer -Spanish (PDF) for step-by-step instructions.

Your student’s classes will begin to appear in the EUSD app on Monday evening, August 18, for middle schools.

Returning families must update to the latest version of the app, either by deleting and reinstalling it or by updating through your app store. For more details and instructions on staying connected, please visit our Stay Connected in EUSD webpage.

X-Track Morning Time:

• Front Gate opens at 6:00 a.m. (must be enrolled in program)

Students may enter campus:

• 7:40am at Front Gate and Access Road Gate

Students on Campus:

• Once a student is on campus, they must remain at Rincon until a parent/guardian signs them out or until the end of the school day.

After School X-Track & EXPlore:

• EXPlore classes starts at 3pm (Enrolled student must check into X-Track then proceed to class after supper)

• X-Track M, T, W & F Check-In at 2:45pm & Thursday at 1:00pm

We encourage students to wait at the front of the school to be picked up at dismissal time. This is the safest place for students. Once a student exits the school, they may not return to campus unless they register as a visitor in the school office.

It is very important for all students to arrive to school and home safely each day.

• Students who walk should remain on sidewalks and cross streets at corners or controlled intersections.

• Please be respectful of our neighbors, and do not walk on lawns, leave garbage, or disrupt our neighborhood.

Front of School Drop off and Pick-up

Enter Rincon from driveway on Lehner Avenue into driveway.

Eastbound turn left into front office gate.

Westbound turn right into front office gate.

Pull forward and have student exit right of car only.

Exit back onto Lehner either east or west bound.

Back of School Drop off and Pick-up

Westbound on Vista Ave only, pull up to curb and student exit right side of vehicle only.

Student to walk westbound on sidewalk.

Student will turn right onto access road sidewalk and enter Access Road Gate to school.

Gates open at 7:40 am

Enter at the front or access road gate (yellow star)

Campus Departure Time and Location

Gate open on Mon, Tues, Wed, & Fri at 2:45 pm and Thurs at 1:00 pm

Exit Front gate, Access Road Gate (yellow stars), or side gate (Blue star)

Rincon is a Cell Phone Free Zone from gate to gate.

Kindly, prioritize all learning

Cell phones are to be turned off and put away when students cross the gate onto campus. It is important to minimize distractions and prioritize learning.

In the classroom, teachers will utilize the progressive discipline procedure within the classroom prior to writing an Office Discipline Referral resulting in an administrator conference, parent contact, and at minimum confiscation of personal electronic.

Use of personal electronics anywhere on campus, without permission, will result in a warning by the staff and/or confiscation and storage in the AP office for the duration of the school day. These confiscated items will follow progressive disciplinary procedures and result in the following based on the level of infraction:

Rincon's family engagement has moved rooms and will now take place in Room 2 inside the school library. Our First ELAC Meeting will be 9/11/2025 at 8:30 AM. Childcare will be provided.
