October 19, 2026
A message from Mrs. Bardwell
Math Night is this week!
We hope you will join us for our first ever middle school math night sponsored by Mathnasium. Dinner will be provided. We just need to your bring your student to school for a little math fun. We hope you will stay too. Math is fun for everyone.
Report Cards - You should have received your child's first report card last week. Grades are also in PowerSchool. If you need assistance accessing your child's PowerSchool account, please contact Jennifer McLaughlin in the office.
Practice ACAP - Thank you for having your child at school for our ACAP Practice test last week. We hope to pass along their scores when they receive their progress reports in November.
It's fall y'all!
October is a fun month for us! We have Trunk-or-Treat and our Fall Ball!
Trunk-or-Treat will be Friday, October 23rd. This is a schoolwide event. Middle school student organizations get to host trunks for the elementary school students. It is nice to have the school mingling in fun fall festivities.
Then, middle school students will enjoy their Fall Ball on Saturday, October 24th. From 6-8 pm, middle school students will get to dance the night away. Start planning your fun fall attire and practicing dance moves. It is always a BLAST! Clink the Fall Ball flyer to purchase dance tickets in advance.

Would you be interested?
We have lots of events through the year that would benefit from parent volunteers.
Mad Scientist Day - This is a fun filled day of hands-on science experiments and demonstrations for students. Parents could help set up experiments between classes and assist in facilitating when appropriate.
College & Career Day - This is a day where we help students get acquainted with a variety of college and career options. Parents could help contact businesses/colleges for the career fair and assist the day of with set-up.
STEAM Night - Thus far this has been our BIGGEST event. We would ask parents to help contact local companies asking for participation in our STEAM night. Parents could also help up organize and set up/break down after the event.
Color Run - This is a fundraising event for MGES and MGMS. Funds go directly to the schools, not through PTA. Prior to the event, we would ask parents to help with the organization of this event. We would need additional parents to help on the day of the event with the throwing of the color.
Check out the link below and complete the GoogleForm if you find one that interested you. We will contact you to discuss exactly how you can help.
Grade-level Memo
Each week teachers will compile the information for their class into one grade-level memo. You will know what your child is studying, when homework is due and when they have tests and projects. Please check the grade-level memo each week. It is the best way to stay informed.
If you need to email the teacher for a class, just click their name. It is hyperlinked to their email.
