Hello Pacific Drive Families!

Thank you all for attending our annual back to school night! We had a great turnout, and it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces here learning about their students' new teachers and what the 2026/2027 school year has in store for us all.

With hot weather expected to continue in the coming weeks, I wanted to let you all know how we are adjusting routines to support student safety in the heat. First, PE is moved indoors if temperatures reach an unsafe level. Our MultiPurpose Room is air conditioned and used by our PE program as needed. Next, during recess times, student activities are reduced and moved to shady areas. We have two Art Carts out on the playground now along with new tables so students have plenty of options for their lunch activies. If temperatures climb too high, there is a chance we could move to our inclement weather schedule and move completely indoors, however we have not had to implement this schedule yet. If you have any questions on this, please feel free to reach out to me.

Our ELAC and DELAC parent teams will start to meet again soon. IF you are interested in being a part of our English Learner Advisory Committee, please reach out to Mrs. Hilda or Mrs. Rojo in our front office.

Our fourth through sixth grade students will be starting their election process for student council in the coming weeks. Students had their first Student Council Interest meeting at lunch today, and will be working on election videos soon. We are excited to see who our student council team will be this year!

Mariachi Club is returning for the 2026/2027 School year for students in grades 3-6! We are still working on scheduling what days of the week Mariachi Club will take place, however we know that the first week will be the week of September 7th. Please check the fliers below and scan the QR code to submit your intent.

Please note that students who enroll in Mariachi Club are expected to miss no more than 3 sessions and may not enroll in the STAGE program that will open up after Winter Break. Students are responsible for their instruments and may be asked to pay for damaged or lost instruments.

Days of the week for Mariachi Club will be announced as soon as possible. Thank you!

• September 21st - 25th - Parent Teacher Conference Week
• September 23rd - No School - Parent Teacher Conferences
