FEBRUARY'23 UPDATES

Recently, we invited our newly deployed volunteers for a virtual induction and sharing session.

It started with an introduction to Children’s Wishing Well and our volunteering programmes. Afterwards, our senior teacher, Dr Iman shared some tips and tricks when engaging and interacting with the children. We ended the session with a sharing by our regular volunteer, Cameron, who shared his volunteering experience as well as some practical tips that worked for him.

Our youth programme, Not a Masterchef recently kickstarted and it was a success!

Despite not having much experience, it didn’t take them long to find their momentum in the kitchen. Their willingness to learn and adaptive nature allowed them to pick up the pace well.

We are proud of our youth for stepping out of their comfort zone to try new things!

Reading Club Fridays are back!

Our reading club programme aims to inculcate the habit of reading and over time improve the children’s confidence, word recognition and use of language. This volunteer-led programme would have not been possible without our dedicated volunteers who take time to attend for the weekly sessions. We are so grateful to all volunteers who have contributed and supported us in our programmes.
