A Word From the Podium

Band Families,

Last night our 6th Graders and the Panther Jazz Band gave their first public performance of the school year. I'm so proud of the students and their hard work and efforts that went into preparing for the performance! One of my favorite sayings is "great performances don't happen on accident; they are a result of great preparation", and I believe that was on display last night. Bravo to all!

CONGRATULATIONS to these 8th Grade Students who were accepted into the UMKC Midwest Honor Band and Orchestra Festival! They will travel to UMKC from Jan. 17-19 to participate in the event. These students are: Mae Briggs, Lindsay Cho, Lincoln Dahl, Miles Gelman, Ainsley Hileman, Ryan Kreisel, Ethan Oppold, and Maya Waymire. This is the first time ever that ALL of the PSMS nominated students were accepted. We are so proud of your hard work and dedication!

Have a great weekend,

Mr. Aubrey
