Introducing Future Ready Report Card Comments for Secondary Students
We are transitioning to a new system of Future Ready Report Card Comments for secondary students, designed to provide more specific and actionable feedback directly tied to our Profile of a Future Ready Graduate.
Outdated, generic phrases like "a pleasure to have in class" or "shows good effort" do not clearly communicate to students what specific behaviors or skills they need to continue, start, or stop. This lack of detail leaves students uncertain about how to improve.
The new comments, however, are precise and aligned with the skills outlined in the Profile (e.g., Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Growth Mindset). This means students will now receive feedback that tells them exactly what to do more or less of to develop essential competencies, such as:
Instead of: Shows good effort.
Students will see feedback like: Shows analytical thinking by questioning and making connections, or Needs improvement in contributing to group work.
This targeted approach ensures every learner receives the specific guidance necessary to actively shape their journey toward becoming a future-ready Avon Grove graduate!
Veterans Day
In preparation for Veterans Day, we’d like to create a Wall of Honor to include photos of any AGHS connections who have served our country.
Please fill out this form by Friday, November 7, to honor those who have served and have a connection (alumni, parent, cousin, grandparent, sibling, etc.) to AGHS.

Parent-Teacher Conferences
You may register for a conference by using this link for Fall Conference Registration or visiting the Avon Grove High School website and click Fall Conference Registration. Please note that the link for Fall Conference Registration will not be active until Monday, November 3, at 8:00 AM.
You will be able to see available dates and times and choose those that best fit your schedule.
By default, all conferences will be held in person. If you prefer a virtual conference, please email the teacher at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled time, and they will send you a meeting link.
Parent-Teacher Conference Dates and Times:
Tuesday, November 18 from 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Thursday, November 20 from 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Monday, November 24 from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Please note the deadline for signing up for conferences is Thursday, November 13, at 2:00 PM.
If you are unable to access the AGHS website or the registration link beginning Monday, November 3, at 8:00 AM, please contact Karen Garrick at 610-869-2446 for assistance.
