Caragher's Corner
Hey Bobcat Nation,
Even though it was only 4 days, it was certainly a busy week here at GBS.
There are some amazing pictures below of a variety of different activities that students were engaged in during this week. From a variety of different science labs, math activities, research, and games, the time flew by!
Please see below if your student is interested in signing up for any of the winter sports. We offer girls basketball, boys basketball, cheer, and wrestling during the winter. Students are also able to sign up in the cafeteria during lunches, but the form below will help us keep track of all the important information.
I hope that everyone has a magnificent weekend! See you next week!

Bus Switches
We will not be able to allow students to switch buses for transportation to friends houses due to the increased number of passengers and the shortage of bus drivers. We realize that this is a change in our previous protocol which may create some challenges. This will mean that if your student wants to go to a friends house in the afternoon, they will need a parent to transport them from school.
If you or someone you know might be interested in helping the district by driving a bus, please click on the the picture for more information.
Thanks for your support!

Around the Bobcat World
Our 8th Grade student got to explore the areas surrounding the school with assistance from the Harris Center as they learned about the amazing world of fungi. Contrary to popular belief, Mr. Bolduc (teaches some 8th grade science) is not a fungi.
6th grade science students used different items to measure objects in the classroom. This activity helped students to understand the importance of using a standard unit of measure.
Pictures from our 6th grade below capture a visit from some of our former 6th graders, now 7th, bringing their grand Bobcat character back to our wing, impressive work showcasing ratios & rates on our "Thinking Boards", 6th Grade Mathematicians modeling the theme of "What's Your Angle" as they focus on building knowledge & character, and the 6th grade mathematicians challenge themselves to "thinking tasks" promoting creative thinking & teamwork!
Students doing research in Greek Mythology and "Cooperative" Games unit in the Games and Gaming class.
Consolidation/Reconfiguration
As many of you are aware, the School Board has contracted an organization related to the potential consolidation and reconfiguration of the ConVal School District. Here is the link to the School Board homepage that has more information to share.
