Dear Parents & Guardians,

As you well know, the weather in this area can change in an instant. Please stay tuned to our local radio and television stations (AM-740, AM-1340 FM-97.5 & TV-WHAG) for weather and school cancellation updates. Snow closure & weather delays are also announced via NTOUCH. If you have access to the internet or text messages, please be sure to register for the Berkeley County Schools NTOUCH program.

Just a reminder that BCS Remote Learning days will begin on snow day# 6. On these days, students will have TEAMS meetings to attend with their classmates and teacher throughout the course of the day. As a way to prepare for this, Tuscarora students have been bringing home their IPads over the past few weeks.

We have some important dates coming up in February that you should be aware of. Interim reports for struggling students will be issued for the 3rd 9 weeks on February 5th. On February 16th there will be a 2-hour early dismissal for students as there will be Faculty Senate for teachers and staff that day. On February 19th there will be no school for students due to a Professional Learning for BCS staff.

I want to thank everyone who attended our Math Night on January 25th! I hope you enjoyed as much as we did.

Lastly, we will again be doing small modified Valentine’s Day celebrations this year for our students. Please do NOT send in any food or drinks BUT please be on the lookout for more information from your student’s teacher.

Please remember that when your student is absent you need to send a note explaining the absence within 3 school days. If your child has a doctor's appointment or is sick and you take them to the doctor, always ask for a doctor's note to excuse the absence.

We will continue to sell Hershey's Ice Cream every Friday for $1.00. Please remember to send your student with their money in the morning as we cannot accept late money after orders have been filled.

Smencils will be on sale every Tuesday & Thursday mornings in the office. Cost is $1 each.

2023-2024 Yearbooks are on sale now. Cost is $15! There are 2 ways for you to order.

A paper copy of the order form will also be sent home soon. Last day to order yearbooks is Friday, March 1st. Tuscarora's Annual Fun Fair will be held April 20th, from 11am-2pm. Mark your calendars, and stay tuned for more details!
