Lynx 7 Updates
For the Week of October 20 through 24th
Team Highlights and Updates
This Week...
Hello Lynx 7 Families,
This was a full week! Students went to the Scholastic Book Fair during their Language Arts class. The Fall Fun Fest was Thursday afternoon - thank you to everyone who came! We had a great time.
EXPLORES students start their new explore classes on Monday. Students found their explore class during intervention this week. Have your child ask their homeroom teacher if they are unsure where to go.
Parents have asked how they can sign up for the Afternoon Activity Bus. These busses leave at 4:30 Mondays through Thursdays. They enable students to participate in clubs and sports, and provide a way to serve detentions without needing a parent to pick their student up after school. Sign up for the Afternoon Activity Bus here. You only need to submit the form once per year - your student can then ride the bus any day.
Have a great weekend,
Lynx 7 Team

Dual Social Studies Update
Dear Parents and Guardians,
This message is for students who had Ms. Frier for Social Studies. We want to share an update regarding our Spanish Social Studies classes. We continue to work on staffing to ensure the best learning experience for our students.
Ms. Frier has done a fantastic job as our substitute teacher, even though she is not a fluent Spanish speaker, and we are so grateful for her dedication and hard work. Starting soon, Ms. Hernandez, who is fluent in Spanish, will be taking over the class. Ms. Frier will continue to collaborate with Ms. Hernandez to support a smooth transition.
We are also still waiting for our full-time international teacher to be fully cleared to teach in the U.S. In the meantime, please know we are doing everything we can to provide consistent and high-quality instruction for our students.
If you have any questions, please email or call me. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Warm regards,
Tiffany Drake

Afterschool Activity Bus
The middle school has worked with the Transportation Department, and we are excited to announce that an after-school activity bus is now available. The buses will run Monday through Thursday and will leave the middle school at 4:30 daily. We have asked all club sponsors to end their activities by 4:20 so students can be released in time to catch the activity buses. Please click HERE to sign up for the buses. Once a student is signed up, they are good for the year. You will not need to sign up for each activity. The activity bus is not available for after school sports as they end past the 4:30 departure time. If you have any questions, please email Mr. Murphy at smurphy@dist50.net
