Welcome to an early spring!

The weeks before and after February break were packed full of fun events. We had a parade in the school for Lunar New Year and celebrated the 100th day of school and Valentine's Day. Last week some classes visited a Civil War Museum and Ms. Bergeron's class celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday by making green eggs and ham. I enjoyed my visit dressed as the Cat in the Hat!

This coming week is Reading Week so please see the details below.

Construction Update

As many of you have seen, the renovation of our school lobby has started and will continue during April vacation week. We all love the new doors and are looking forward to the new floors and lights.

Below are pictures from the classrooms and the cafeteria which both look amazing.

Updates from the Dental Clinic

If your child participated in the Dental Clinic recently you should have received a form from Upper Valley Smiles that included a report of the screening. If the clinic recommended a follow - up with a dentist, and you need assistance finding one in the area, please contact me.

We are very appreciative of the amazing care and help APD Upper Smiles Staff provided to our students!

We do our best to make it a positive experience for every student. The Scholastic Dollars we earn go right back into the school to support teacher libraries and all the amazing events the PTO hosts.

Soup Days

On March 18th to March 20th we will host our staff favorite event, SOUP DAYS! This annual event takes lots of support to make it a success. For three days parents bring in their favorite homemade or store bought soups & stews (bread is needed too) to fill the bellies of the staff at HSS. Crock pots can be dropped off in the morning and will be ready for pick up at the end of each day.
