Dear Students and Families,

Attendance Goal

This coming Friday, October 30th, marks the end of the third attendance month! Students are expected to attend 18 out of 20 days to reach our 90% attendance goal. Keep working hard this week to hit that target!

Spirit Week!

We are celebrating the final week of October with a fun-filled Spirit Week from Monday, October 26th to Friday, October 30th! Check out the daily themes below and scroll down to see the Spirit Week flyer:

  • Monday – Men in Black: Dress in your coolest, all-black attire!

  • Tuesday – Trick-or-Tuesday: Show off your favorite outfits from the '90s and 2000s.

  • Wednesday – Wild West Wednesday: Saddle up as a cowboy, cowgirl, outlaw, or anything Western.

  • Thursday – Thriller Thursday: Get spooky and wear your favorite costume!

  • Friday – Fang-Tastic Friday: Sink your teeth into Friday and dress up as a vampire!

Important Costume Safety Protocols

Please keep these guidelines in mind when picking out your costume for Spirit Week:

  • No masks

  • No full-face paint

  • No look-alike weapons (e.g., plastic swords, knives, toy guns, batons, shields, etc.)

  • All costumes must be school-appropriate and follow the district dress code

  • Be respectful—avoid costumes that are culturally or religiously insensitive, overly distracting, or obscure other students' views

Leadership Activity

Come join the Leadership Team for treats and pumpkin painting this Thursday, October 29th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Room 3!

Let’s finish the month strong, show off our school pride, and have a fantastic, safe Spirit Week together!

Sincerely,

David Schlottman, Principal

Just so you know, all students riding either an eBike or eScooter or skateboard to school must go through a safety training and registration process. This process also includes ALL "rides"...regardless of whether they're powered by a BATTERY or NOT!

There will be a short 40-minute online course to take, and then your eBike or eScooter or skateboard will be registered with TVUSD by use of a “registration sticker” provided at the school.

The overarching goal here is to help students develop safe riding/biking skills so they can get to school as safely as possible!

Please click the link below to begin your training course IF YOU WILL BE RIDING an eBike or eScooter or skateboard to school this year!

SAT Testing SAT Testing

The SAT is recommended for 11th and 12th grade students planning to apply to 4-year colleges, especially private or out-of-state universities. Sophomores may also choose to take the SAT for early testing experience.

While UC and CSU campuses do not require SAT scores for admission, many private colleges, out-of-state universities, scholarships, and honors programs may still consider SAT scores. Taking the SAT can help keep more college options open! 🎓

Upcoming SAT Test Dates

  • November 7, 2026 — Registration deadline: October 23
  • December 5, 2026 — Registration deadline: November 20
  • March 6, 2027 — Registration deadline: February 19
  • May 1, 2027 — Registration deadline: April 16
  • June 5, 2027 — Registration deadline: May 21

Students register directly through College Board and can select their preferred testing location based on availability. Students can test at Temecula Valley High School, Chaparral High School, Great Oak High School, or another available testing location.

I coordinate the SAT at TVHS, so if you choose to test there, I’ll be there to wish you good luck and cheer you on before you begin! 😊
