Picture Day make-ups & retakes will be held on Wednesday, January 20th.

Photo packets will be distributed once received; don't worry, you will have them before retake day. If you wish to have your child's photos retaken, they must turn in the original photo packet to the photographer. Please make sure to send in with your student on retake day.

If your child was absent on the original picture day, there will be a new online ordering code available if you wish to order photos.

All students who missed picture day should have their photo taken regardless of purchase. If they do not have their photo taken, they will not be included in the yearbook.

A big THANK YOU goes out to the Tawanka PTO for providing the staff with breakfast on December 23rd. It was a nice way to kick off the last day before winter break and we appreciate it very much!

Mr. Palmer and Sparkle (Tawanka's very own Elf on the Shelf) made classroom visits to wish everyone happy holidays and a nice winter break. Sparkle even stopped at the nurse's office for a check-up!

Kindergarten had a great time decorating their gingerbread men! Students from home also joined in on the fun.

Mrs. Hanna's 2nd grade class celebrated the upcoming Winter break with a Pajama and favorite book day.

Third Graders created musical instruments as a culminating activity to their 'Energy/Sound Unit' in Science. Here students are using their creations to jam to Jingle Bell Rock in Mr. Wyatt's class:

My name is Meghan Cronin and I am so excited to be part of Tawanka Elementary School! I have been teaching for 6 years both in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. I am originally from Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey and I love going to Jenkinsons Beach and Boardwalk. My favorite thing to do at the beach is surf! I also enjoy playing soccer, which is actually something I played while I was attending Arcadia University in Glenside, PA. While there are times that I miss New Jersey, I am so happy to be back in the suburbs of Philadelphia!
