SBHS MEDIA STUDENTS SELL ADS TO LOCAL BUSINESSES
Sturgis Brown High School’s journalism and yearbook students, known as SBHS Media, visited area businesses Tuesday to sell advertising and practice communication skills. Advertising served as the programs’ primary funding source, helping keep yearbooks affordable, support attendance at the state High School Convention and cover equipment repairs or replacements.
Students walked along Junction Avenue, Main Street and Lazelle Street, gaining experience representing their programs while building connections with classmates. Freshman Aurora Luckman said she enjoyed spending time with students from other grades. SBHS Media thanked local businesses for welcoming students and supporting the programs. Businesses interested in purchasing advertising may contact the school.
