A message from Mr. Rose

Celebrating the End of a Successful School Year & Honoring Our Dedicated Staff

Dear Wilson Families and Community,

As we step into the month of May, it is hard to believe that we are already nearing the end of another remarkable school year. This time of year, offers a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the many successes we have achieved together and to celebrate the incredible individuals who make Wilson Elementary School District such a special place.

From academic growth to community partnerships, student engagement, and staff development, this school year has been filled with milestones worth celebrating. Our students have demonstrated resilience, curiosity, and a continued commitment to learning, while our educators and support staff have gone above and beyond to create safe, nurturing, and innovative environments where all students can thrive.

May also marks Teacher Appreciation Week—the first week of the month—and I want to take this moment to express my deepest gratitude to our incredible teachers. While we take time to honor them officially during this week, the truth is that our teachers deserve to be celebrated every single day. Their passion, dedication, and commitment to shaping the minds and hearts of our students is nothing short of inspiring.

This month, I am also proud to spotlight a member of our Wilson family whose behind-the-scenes contributions have made a big impact—Mrs. Daniella Molano, our Payroll Specialist. Mrs. Molano joined us in November and has been a tremendous asset to our team ever since. With professionalism, attention to detail, and a warm and collaborative spirit, she ensures our staff are supported and cared for. We are grateful for her commitment and are honored to have her as part of our Wilson community.

As we close out the school year, I want to thank each of you—students, families, teachers, staff, and community partners—for your continued support and belief in our mission. Let us finish strong, celebrate our growth, and look forward to a bright future together.

With appreciation,

Wilson Primary School

As we approach the end of another incredible school year at Wilson Primary, I want to take a moment to reflect on the achievements, growth, and spirit that have made this year so special.

First and foremost, I am immensely proud of our students for their growth and kindness. Over this year, we watched our young scholars soar academically, socially, and emotionally. With the support of our fabulous staff, our students consistently demonstrated excellence and character.

This year has been filled with highlights, from academic accomplishments and creative projects to community partnerships and initiatives.

Here are some highlights from this year:

· City of Phoenix Experience Corp-AARP Volunteer readers

· PBIS Store for student incentives

· Scholastics Book Fair

· Wilson Primary Yearbook

· Community Closet

We’ve seen students reach new heights, build lasting friendships, and take important steps toward becoming thoughtful, capable citizens.

Please invite your families and friends to join the Wilson Family. We are enrolling for next year PreK-8th grade. We offer full day Pre-k and Kindergarten.

As we look ahead to the summer and beyond, I encourage everyone to take time to rest, recharge, and reflect on the progress made this year. Thank you all for a memorable year. I am excited about what the future holds, and I look forward to continuing this journey of learning and growth together.

Wilson Elementary School

As we wrap up the school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we've shared together—our very own Wilson Family Road Trip, Destination “A.” This year has been one of growth, discovery, and meaningful progress for our students, and I couldn’t be prouder of how far they’ve come.

This was a year of many firsts at the Elementary School. With the leadership team in place, we focused on building strong systems and launching new initiatives. It was a year filled with fresh learning and exciting change. I want to thank our teachers, staff, students, and parents for your tenacity and grace during this transitional time. Your support and adaptability have been the foundation of our success.

Here are just a few of this year’s highlights:

· Junior High Winter Dance

· Incentive Field Trips

· High School Trips

· Student-Centered Spirit Week

· Community Events – Fall Festival at the Elementary

· Kinder/8th Grade Meet and Greet

· Student Videos and Photo Projects

· K-Pop Dance Clinic

Throughout the year, our students have worked hard in the classroom, demonstrated leadership through activities, and expressed their school spirit in creative, meaningful ways. Whether it was through performances, athletics, service projects, or simply showing up for one another, they embraced every opportunity to grow and shine.

During the summer break, I encourage all our students to take time to rest, reflect, and enjoy time with loved ones. To our 8th graders—congratulations on completing your junior high journey! We are incredibly proud of you and can’t wait to see all the amazing things you will accomplish in high school.

Thank you all for a memorable and inspiring year. I’m already looking forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall for another exciting chapter in our Wilson family adventure.

As the school year comes to a close, we reflect with pride and deep gratitude on the incredible journey we've shared this year. May was one of our busiest and most impactful months — a true celebration of what’s possible when a community comes together.

⚽ Soccer Camp Success

This month, over 100 students participated in our week-long Soccer Camp, proudly sponsored by FIT and Puma. Each day, our fields were filled with energy, teamwork, and laughter as children-built skills both on and off the field. Every student received their own soccer ball to take home — a gift that symbolizes play, health, and opportunity. We’re incredibly thankful to our sponsors for making this experience unforgettable for so many families.

🥫 Meeting Basic Needs with Dignity

Our Food Pantry continues to be a vital resource, serving 101 families in May. We are overwhelmed with gratitude to share that a generous donor has committed to providing $2,000/month to help supply fresh chicken, eggs, and milk — ensuring that 50 families per distribution will have access to high-quality, nutritious food. This is more than a donation; it’s a promise of stability and dignity for families who need it most.

💻 Empowering Through Technology

Our Compudant computer classes are wrapping up this month, with both parents and students completing hands-on training in digital literacy. For many adults, this was their first introduction to using a computer — from setting up an email account to writing resumes and accessing school portals. These skills are empowering our community to connect, learn, and grow in a digital world, and we are so thankful for this partnership.

☕ Honoring Those Who Make It Happen

We also hosted a Volunteer & Donor Appreciation Breakfast, a heartfelt gathering to celebrate the people who make our work possible. Volunteers, sponsors, and donors heard firsthand how their time, gifts, and belief in our mission are changing lives. It was a beautiful reminder that behind every service we provide is a network of kind, committed people lifting others up.

Looking Ahead: 2025–2026

As we look to the future, we are filled with excitement for what lies ahead. In the coming year, we plan to:

  • Expand after-school programming to serve more students with academic support, arts, and enrichment opportunities.

  • Launch new medical services for adults, bringing preventative care and health screenings directly to our community.

  • Offer more classes for parents on topics such as financial literacy, wellness, parenting strategies, and ESL.

  • Deepen family engagement with monthly events and workshops to strengthen the home-to-school connection.

None of this would be possible without you. Whether you gave your time, your resources, or your voice, you are a part of the heartbeat of this community. Thank you for believing in what we do and who we serve.

Here’s to a summer of rest, renewal, and preparation — and to another powerful year ahead.

With heartfelt thanks,

Josue and Dina

Maintenace

As the school year comes to a close, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to the incredible maintenance staff who keep our schools running smoothly, safely, and beautifully every single day.

Your hard work often happens behind the scenes—but its impact is seen and felt by every student, teacher, and staff member who walks through our doors. From early mornings to late nights, through every season and every challenge, you've shown dedication, pride, and care in everything you do.

You are the reason our classrooms are ready, our grounds are safe, and our facilities stay in top shape. Your contributions are a vital part of our students’ learning environment and success—and we don’t take that for granted.

As we head into the summer, we thank you for another year of exceptional service. We hope you get time to relax and recharge—you’ve more than earned it.

Have a safe and joyful summer!

With sincere appreciation,

Roy Sucanick Director of Maintenance/Transportation/Safety
