Message from the Principals
Hello Everyone,
As we come to the end of another school year, we want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your support, partnership, and involvement throughout the year.
Your engagement—whether through volunteering, attending events, helping with homework, or simply staying connected—has made a meaningful difference in our students’ experiences and success. We are grateful to have such a strong and caring school community.
Thank you for trusting us with your children and for being such an essential part of their learning journey. We look forward to welcoming you back in the fall for another great year together.
For those 4th grade families moving on next year, we wish you and your child the best, and remember, you are always part of the South Row family.
Wishing you a joyful, restful summer!
Respectfully,
Terri and Jayson

From the Art Room...
Starting Monday June 2 - Please send a bag with your student to art class to take home their artwork. A grocery bag or a tote bag would be great. It has to fit a 12"x18" folder but can stick out of the top. A paper grocery bag works the best. There might be some additional work coming home the week after but no need for a bag for that.
Thanks for supporting the visual arts!!

Family Survey - PLEASE COMPLETE!
Dear Chelmsford Families,
Our district values your feedback! We are currently surveying The Chelmsford Public Schools families in order to gain insight into your perception of our school and district's effectiveness. We also want to better understand barriers to families accessing our schools and programs. To ensure we continue to provide high quality, rigorous learning experiences that meet the needs of our learners and prepare them for college and career, we need your feedback. We want to know what you think.
To administer these surveys, we have partnered with Panorama Education to conduct our 2025 Family Survey as we did in 2023 and 2024 as well. Panorama safeguards your privacy, keeping your responses anonymous. The survey shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to complete and will be a valuable source of information for us as we work to make our schools and district as good as they can be.
You may complete the survey online between Thursday May 1st and Friday June 13th using a computer, tablet, or smartphone by visiting the website below: https://surveys.panoramaed.com/chelmsfordma/family25/surveys
If you have multiple CPS school-aged children, please feel free to fill out multiple surveys to represent each individual child’s experience. The first question on the survey will be a dropdown to select which school you are filling the survey out for.
We thank you in advance for your thoughtful responses. If you have any questions about the survey administration, please don’t hesitate to contact your building Principal.
Thank you in advance for your time.

Its Summer Walk to School Day - Thursday, June 12th, 2025
Weekly Reminders and Updates
Recurring Reminders:
- Fit Fest and Outdoor Events: Please consider applying sunscreen in the morning at home on warm/sunny days as we approach end of the year events and activities that are outdoors.
- Smartphones and Smart Watches: We strongly discourage sending your child to school with smart phones or watches. If your child brings either of these devices to school the expectation is that they are turned off and in their backpack.
- Snacks: Please remember to send your child in with a snack. The school has a very limited supply that gets depleted quickly and it is not to every students liking.
PE Reminder: Please help your child to remember to bring sneakers when they have Phys Ed. Snow boots are great for recess, but unsafe for the gymnasium. Also on PE days, I would suggest students wear T-shirts or layers so they can take their long sleeve off when they get hot. Thank you!
IIQ Help Desk Tickets: Some families have been using an unmonitored email for support with accessing the Aspen Family Portal. Instead, please use the incident IQ request form located on the CPS website under the parent drop down menu. Nurses Corner
Dear South Row Students and Families,
As the school year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to share some bittersweet news. After five wonderful years as the school nurse here at South Row, I will be transitioning to a new role at Chelmsford High School this fall.
It has truly been an honor and a privilege to care for your children and be a part of this incredible community. South Row is a very special place — full of kindness, curiosity, and heart. The support, warmth, and spirit of this school have made my time here so meaningful, and I am incredibly grateful for the relationships I’ve built with students, families, and staff along the way.
Though I will miss seeing your children’s smiling faces in the health office each day, I am excited for this new chapter and thankful to remain within the Chelmsford Public Schools community.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your children’s school journey and for all the trust and care you've shown over the years. I will always carry fond memories of my time at South Row.
One last matter of business, Med pick up: Please plan to pick up your child’s medication before your child’s last day. Medications can be picked up on June 16th from 8:40 AM-3:30 PM. I will also be available for medication pick up on June 17th from 10:00 AM-3:30 PM. If you are unable to come in during these times, please call or email me and we will make other arrangements. If you would like me to send your child’s EpiPen or inhaler home in their backpack, please email me your consent to do so. Any medications not picked up will need to be disposed of per Department of Public Health regulations.
Until we meet again….
Warmly,
Nurse V.
