A Message from the Principal:
Dear Tracy Families,
This week at Tracy, our students and staff enjoyed a number of activities as we celebrated Red Ribbon Week and Halloween. The Halloween Parade and classroom festivities were highlights of the week, and we look forward to sharing the parade video link in an email and in next week’s newsletter.
Thank you to all those that attended our Halloween BINGO Night! We had an amazing night with families playing BINGO, and shopping at our Book Fair. A special thank you to all who attended and made this event possible!
As a reminder, Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend. Please remember to set your clocks back one hour on Saturday night.
Students will not have school on Monday 11/9 and Tuesday 11/10 because of parent/teacher conferences. If you have not scheduled a conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher or the school office. We are looking forward to great conversations and collaboration.
We encourage all families to participate in our November Reading Challenge. The reading challenge begins November 1st and will end November 30th. All students are encouraged to read or be read to for 15 minutes a day for at least 15 days. The reading log should be returned by December 4th with a parent or guardian signature. Students who return their logs will choose a free book to celebrate their participation.
Please find below a few important reminders:
Attendance: If your student will be absent or arrive late, please email mtsdattendance@mtsd.org.

Programming Opportunities
As part of the upcoming renovations to the McDowell Athletic Complex (MAC), a new paver plaza is being planned for the stadium entrance. The Gus Anderson Legacy Plaza will feature engraved pavers that are now available to purchase and customize! All purchases support the renovations, which include necessary updates to the track, bleachers, addition of visitor bathrooms, turf drainage and more.
Leave your mark on the MAC and purchase a paver in honor of an alumni, your graduating class, or yourself! Purchase a paver or make a general donation here: Sponsorships & Naming Rights Opportunities
