Summer Assignments
Middle School Summer Assignments: There are no formal assignments, however we strongly encourage students to remain sharp and continue to learn throughout the summer. There are many online resources to access as well as countless great books to read. Here is NB’s website for middle school summer enrichment.
High School Summer assignments for students taking high school Advanced Placement & Honors courses can be accessed HERE. These assignments are mandatory and are expected to be completed by the first week of school. Here is NB’s website for high school summer assignments and reading. Any courses not included in the folder DO NOT have a summer assignment.
School Climate Survey
The middle school students completed a school climate survey during homeroom this week. The survey is a tool that allows us to gather input from our many stakeholders in the community. We use the information collected to make decisions about our future programming.
In addition, we are looking to gather feedback from parents in our community as well. Please follow this LINK to complete the parent school climate survey.

Chromebooks for Next Year
- Class of 2031 (Current Seventh Graders): Students returning for eighth grade will keep their Chromebook over the summer and use it again in eighth grade.
- Class of 2030 (Current Eighth Graders): Students had their Chromebooks and chargers collected on June 11 and 12 during PE classes. At that time they will received their new Chromebook and charger for high school. In order to receive a new Chromebook, the Chromebook and charger had to be turned in and in good working condition. In the event there are damages to the Chromebook that must be repaired or outstanding charges for repairs completed earlier in the year, a new Chromebook will not be issued until that financial obligation is paid in full. A fee of $35 is assessed for chargers not returned.
- For students leaving the district, regardless of grade, the Chromebook and charger issued must be returned to the school as part of the regular sign out process.
